I'm not sure about this at all. Benitez doesn't seem to want De Gea, which puts spanners in Real's wheels. Had I been DdG, I'd tell them to up their actions to prove they really want him. This feels like a stalemate where the only thing that is decisive is DdG himself.
Why is she out of his league? He's a decent looking footballer earning millions, there are thousands of girls who are at least as pretty as her who'd take him in a heartbeat and not force him to move anywhere. When you look at some of footballers girlfriends they could be much prettier than her.

In Madrid I don't think the transfers are made by the coach. Players are bought and if the coach doesn't find a formation to let them all play attracitve and successful football he will be gone within a year.

I used me own brain, as there was very little academic study completed on the topic.
When we cut to the chase, United should have sorted this out. Yes tell madrid to come with a serious offer, but if VG is going to bench him for a keeper who is going to be unpredictable, then no one has come out of this situation in the better situation. It's a mess, we have yet to sign a defender, and putting blind at CB is not going to be doing us any favours, if we bench our best player from last season which is a keeper, then WOW

Irrespective of how well he has developed in recent years, I'm getting quite fed up with the whole De Gea saga. He should either come out in support of United and pledge his full concentration for at least the 15/16 season, or he should put in a formal transfer request.

Maybe "The Process" isn't going to work out well for us here. If, at this late stage we do sell DDG then we are going to end up spending everything we get to obtain a satisfactory replacement (please not Cillessen). Valdes might have provided reasonable cover while we worked it out but his bridges have been very publicly burned. So kicking off a league campaign and a potentially tricky CL qualifier , we may have a choice between Romero, a back up keeper who hasn't been able to nail a position at Sampdoria or Monaco and a promising rookie in Johnstone.
And the same selection of Centre Backs as last year.
We'll probably end up trying to prise Lloris from Spurs and get bent over by Levy again.

Why are Benitez's comments taken at face value? It's in Madrid's interest to claim they can do without De Gea.
