I guess if he ever comes back he will come back not as a coach but in another function like e.g. as president
Yeah, he said it before that he's never managing Barca again. Who knows though.

There are rumours coming out of Italy that Bayern already agreed a deal with Carlo for next seasonUnited should get Carlo then.
Carlo is great, only negative about him is that he doesn't rotate much. Great man manager. You could do much worse. There are rumours coming out of Italy that Bayern already agreed a deal with Carlo for next season. I don't want Carlo, I want to keep Pep. It would really feel like unfinished business if Pep left after this season, even if we win the CL this year. It's pretty obvious that this team hasn't peaked in his way of playing yet and if he leaves before that happens, I'm really, really pissed.
He's kinda boring. Obviously we could do much worse and he might actually increase our chances to win another CL with this team before we need to rebuild it completely. But I'd much rather have an interesting character in charge. With Tuchel and Klopp now unavailable, I'd probably prefer Favre. I'd love to see what Favre can do with an elite squad.Carlo is great, only negative about him is that he doesn't rotate much. Great man manager. You could do much worse.
Exactly.Mundo Deportive and the author of the article aren't known to be friends of Guardiola because of the Laporte connections. You can doubt if they have any informations out of the inner circle around Guardiola...
That's what I liked about him. Was hard not to love such a calming presence after the whirlwind that was Mourinho. He's kinda boring.
Have to say I have a soft spot for Carlo. He's just such a lovable guy that I would gladly take him at Bayern, to 'manage' (in the sense of 'verwalten') a high quality squad on a good level. Should Pep indeed leave, that would probably be my favourite solution for a couple of years, after that someone like Favre to rebuild. He's kinda boring. Broadly speaking I agree, but the core of our club isn't set. We still have an imbalancced squad and from the outside it looks like the recruitment at the club is scattergun at times. The demands of managing United are huge, particularly if some of the moving parts aren't quite functioning.I'll get laughed at but if we decided to appoint a Gary Monk or Koeman after LVG I wouldn't be too upset. As long as the core of the club is set, the machine behind the manager is functioning at 100% then we would be an ideal platform for a manager to take the step up.
People are caught up in the Klopp / Jose / Pep conveyor belt, these 3 won't be the best managers in the world for the next decade. There will be others who are ready to step up, they just need the chance.
Pellegrini wasn't given £150m to spend. City have a DoF, a certain Txiki Begiristain who both played with Pep and promoted him at Barca. I believe they are very good friends and speak at least once a week (so rumour has it)
My guess is that if the Pep to City rumours are true then Pellegrini knows all about it. He will be well looked after that's for sure.
How often have I listen to that sermon of City fans... It did not make Guardiola go to City 3 years ago - why should it now?
Sterling and de Bruyne aren't the most interesting talents on the world - and - they aren't midfielders...(Pep would say that they are forwards)
The RMC italian based correspondant spent years telling us that his favourite formation was the 4-3-3, but a lack of money didn't allow him to buy proper wingers. My non educated opinion is that he is like Simeone, very good tactically and will do with the players at his disposal.
Actually, Conte's favourite formation is a 4-4-2 with very attacking wingers, often even referred to as 4-2-4. He has stated that several times. That's what he started with at Juve and that's what he used at his previous clubs. At Juve he switched to a 4-3-3, because we had Pirlo, Vidal and Marchsio all in great form. He later switched to 3-5-2 when one of our few wingers had a longterm injury and management did not provide him with a replacement.
For Italy, he has played everything from 3-5-2 to 4-3-3 to 4-2-4. On Saturday, Italy played with El Shaarawy and Candreva on the wings plus two strikers. Tonight, he went back to 3-5-2. He is flexible and tries to make the best of the personnel available, but if given the chance he would likely use a 4-2-4.
Bayern was interested in both of them.
Right wing or AM. It's not that difficult really. It probably would have been the end of Götze's time at Bayern though.I would've liked Sterling, but nobody could ever tell me what position De Bruyne should've played for us.
What's the point? City will always be able to outspend us, the money for De Bruyne was just crazy.

I have to say respectfully that you'll get no sympathy here you spoilt shit. You get to choose between "Carlo" and "Pep" while we're stuck with the human cigar. There are rumours coming out of Italy that Bayern already agreed a deal with Carlo for next season. Commercial deals aren't sized according to a clubs success, but rather their fame, reach and popularity.Genuine question.
So how much do you think that the commercial deals signed by City are overvalued by friendly arrangements ?
Remembering, of course, that City are the most successful PL team of the past 4 years and the PL is the highest profile most watched league in the world.
How much do you think Etihad, for example, should be paying ?
..and WengerJust in time for when Pellegrini and van Gaal's contracts finish.
I always thought he would leave when LVG retires and try to prove what he's learned at another club. Pep comes in and when he leaves down the line Giggs would have a body of work to look at as Peps successor.Seems weird to me that the club would insist on giving Giggs such a prominent role if they didn't envisage him taking over eventually. Guardiola will go to City, Giggs will take over here.

Might not be Pep but whoever we get in
Edit: wasn't there a rumour that Giggs would be in charge of the cup games on the sly this year? As some sort of practical exam?
Spot on. Might be unpopular on here, but if anyone seriously believes the owners are going to trust the decisions of Charlton and SAF after Moyes then they are living in cloud cuckoo land. They will not make the same mistake again - no mater who it is. They will make a polite gesture but go for whoever they believe will deliver.seriously..from an investment perspective, does it make sense to appoint Giggs? I doubt the owners will do it no matter SAF and Charlton said so.

J.M. Casanovas of "Sport.es" via "Münchner Merkur": Pep decides to sign for another 2 years at Bayern
- club and Pep agreed upon continuing 10 days ago, only minor issues to be sorted
- Himself and Family are happy in Munich
- he enjoys working with the team
- he is impressed how the management listened to/fulfilled his wishes (whatever that means lol)
- he had other offers but never bothered to look at them in detail
- Decision to be made public at Bayerns GM 11/27

This Jose Maria Casanovas seems to be the in-bed-with-Barca guy of sport.es. No idea if he has a wild imagination, or actually has access to inside circles. His Column is called "my truth" hehe![]()
6 days before Guardiola signed his contract in Munich he wrote that Guardiola for sure does not go to Germany or Italy but that Chelsea FC and London would be where he is going to.
