Gotze and Neuer are the only top German talent that they have singed in a decade or so.A lot of German fans would say similar about Bayern who hoover up German talents

He is not Simeone/Mourinho boring though. Not exactly gung-ho (like SAF for most of his career), and neither as pleasant for eye (like Pep or Wenger) but still, his teams play decent football.Ffs, if true, getting Ancelotti is kinda boring. The van Bommel + Scholl plan sounded way more entertaining.
I didn't mean his football, his teams play great football. I think he's just too boring as a character and we'd be just another footnote in his career after Juve, Milan, Chelsea, PSG and Real. It's really not a great story, just a very pragmatic decision. He is not Simeone/Mourinho boring though. Surprised about what? We knew he would be here for a maximum of 4 years. Life will go on, he's not the miracle worker some make him out to be.
He won't get City a CL trophy on his own.
The only thing I'm concerned about is the fact that I would be majorly dissapointed by him personally if he chooses a club like City. City is the pure evil.
-Giovanni Branchini who is Ancelotti's agent and apparently has been a close friend of Bayern's bosses for decades was spotted at the club's banquet after their last CL match in Zagreb. He supposedly has a very long going ("for decades") and trustful working relationship with Bayern.

You would seriously prefer a Van Bommel/Scholl combination? I agree that it would be entertaining but they'd flop in a hilarious wayFfs, if true, getting Ancelotti is kinda boring. The van Bommel + Scholl plan sounded way more entertaining.

Scholl > Giggs, so no.Sure you don't want Bayern to snap up Giggs before he has his break through at United?

I think that he meant more for the City's owners. Which isn't far off what he said. You need to get a life. This is football we're talking about !
BTW - I expect you to be disappointed![]()
We're so frightened he's going to go to City. You have to try to imagine what that's like for United fans. Imagine there were some upstart club in Munich riding along on your coattails, owned by the richest men on the planet, and competing with you, the giant in Germany, for the world's best manager. Just envisage how much of an abomination that really is.
Ancelotti is the perfect fit for Bayern. They have no problems really winning the bundesliga and Ancelotti will help them to win a CL.
I didn't say it's a problem. Boring can be good, if it's not boring footballFinding a problem where there is none![]()

If Ancelotti doesn't want to join us, then yes, I guess he'd still be an option. I don't think this season has changed much anyway. He was always a difficult character and he might not want to take a job that brings so much attention from the media with it.What about Favre? You think he might still be an option, despite his rather strange Gladbach exit?

Or Sammer. For some reason his name keeps floating around in some Bayern forums.
Not the slightest bit worried over a possible Guardiola departure. If he leaves, fine, we'll get someone else. If he stays, fine as well. Don't get me wrong, he's a great manager but i've never really liked him and he's definitely not the messiah many make him out to be. The loss of Pep's pulling power would be the biggest problem, i think he at least partially negates the locational disadvantage Bayern has compared to its european rivals when it comes to attracting the very elite. But, considering that Bayern didn't exactly acquire the créme de la créme during Peps reign, i think i make it out to be a bigger problem than it really is.
I'd say Thiago, Vidal, Benatia, Goetze and Lewandowski were pretty elite acquisitions, granted the latter two would have probably joined regardless of who the manager was.
What's wrong with Munich? Too rainy? Not enough shopping options? Not enough restaurants? The only player where Guardiola really was the deciding factor was Thiago. There's no chance he would play in Munich if it weren't for Guardiola.
Every other big club stayed clear of Vidal after an average year with lots of injury problems and Vidal being Vidal at the Copa. I wouldn't consider Benatia as elite, but thinking back i guess he was considered as one of the best CB around at that time. The two last transfers had nothing to do with Pep, at least that's what i believe to be the case.

Really bad timing for us like last time (Guardiola, Klopp etc.). Bet Moyes will be the only candidate left on the market when we finally move to get rid of LvG.
Seems like a perfect move for Bayern. In a league where competition for the title isn't too strong, bringing in arguably the best cup manager in the world seems like a great move. CL #4 for Carlo?
I bet an awful lot of money that you'll comfortably win the league and we stay at least 5 points clear if not more behind you. I'd welcome Ancelotti in the Bundesliga as he appears to be not just a great manager but also a man with a great sense of humor who doesn't take himself too serious.Dortmund is just 1 loss and 1 draw behind Bayern, having the easier games in the 2nd half of the season because Bayern had most of the tough games at home already (including Dortmund).
But agree, a cup manager like him would still be great.
