Film The Movies I want to see thread

Loads of horror films coming up, some look good some look OK some look bad.

Most of the horror movies I've seen are generally bad. Last one I saw was 'The Forest' and it was a let down. That story had a lot of potential but unfortunately they failed to capture the creepiness of it that place.

Has 89% on RT; if that means anything to you.

That just means it got 6/10+ from 89% of critics. It's metacritic score is 58/100, meaning that 6/10 is probably pretty accurate.

Still looks interesting enough to merit a watch, tbf.

Watched The Gift on Netflix, really enjoyed it, good twist on the storyline of the "friend from your past that latches on to you and you can't get rid of them" that's been done many times before. Also on USA Netflix is Blackthorn, good story about what Butch Cassidy might have done if he wasn't really killed in Bolivia (and a lot of historians say it wasn't actually him and Sundance Kid that the Bolivian army shot and killed). Either way, it's a very watchable movie.

Guaranteed Oscar nominee after the backlash of the Academy awards gone by.

Not too revealing a trailer, though it's only a teaser. I read the book, so I'm definitely interested anyway in watching it. Great song choice too, quite refreshing.

But how was the movie itself? The writing?
I wouldn't quite classify myself as a movie critic/buff vorza :(

But I thought everything was really well done and put together. From the script/writing to the performances.

I thought, even though some concepts were a bit "technical" (finance jargon) - they tried to make it really understandable for everyone to follow.

I thought it was an excellent film tbh. When I started watching it I thought any movie about the credit crunch was going to bore me. This didn't.

Alright thanks. I'm planning on watching it sooner or later as well.
