Europa League 2015/2016

I'd be happy with a draw or even an away goal, but confident we can return to Anfield with a good result.

My father in law hosts a party tonight where I have to be present though :( going to turn my cellphone off from 9PM onwards and avoid all social media so I can watch the game afterwards. Hopefully noone will spoil the result.

Watching the Sevilla-Shakhtar game tonight, I hate watching Liverpool in big games when they aren't actually playing United, exception being if they could help United with a win in the League. The 4-3 game against Dortmund was too much, I relaxed at 3-1 and thought that's it they are out now....it was nearly as bad as the 2nd half/ET/pens in 2005 CL Final.
 
Sturridge on the bench. Shocked at the decision but think it's the right one.
 
Winning this competition is a formality for Liverpool now after getting past Dortmund, especially in the way they did. Feckers are gonna be in the Champions League next season.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the game. If Villareal can get going they should be fine, and defensively they are tight. It's scoring that they struggle with.

Can't tell how we're going to do tonight. Interesting that Sturridge isn't starting, I guess Klopp doesn't want to risk much in the first leg.

Very close to an all-Spanish CL and Europa League final. Those fecks sure know how to win in Europe.

Sevilla have won it the last 2 years haven't they?

But Villareal are toilet. I'm sure we lost to them once, and everyone was beyond embarrassed.

I´m not kidding, when I say it would be one of the greatest accomplishments in football in the last 50 years. The last time a team won a European Cup three times in a row was Bayern Munich in the mid 70s. I don´t think we have to discuss how much easier that was, when only the champions from each country participated.
 
I feel like Sturridge would have been the better choice for this. We've got very little going on in their box when we have it.

Keeping it tight with Firmino being better in general play, and bringing Sturridge on to stretch tired legs sounds ideal.

We're having a lot of the ball in the final 3rd with little coming off, Sturridge might have helped create some chances.

With Sturridge starting we wouldn't have had as much of the ball in the final third though.

If the plan is to press hard and fast, Sturridge can't be a starter.
 
Whoever is watching the europa league, i would suggest to watch Shakhtar v Sevilla. It has been a quality match so far with some great individuals.
