He's an absolute legend but I can understand the sentiment. The midfield was criminally neglected for a long time. He's the last person that should be mentioned in this mess.

We wouldn't be paying so much if he decided to give Pogba an extra £10,000 a week back then. Sure seems like worthwhile money now doesn't itMaybe so but it also feels a bit crazy to pay a club 100mil for a player they nicked off us for free, Fergie for one would never do that.
As for an attacking creative midfielder with precense- its hard but looking at the options Matic is obviously a great option
Is it just me or would everyone rather spend 100mil on signing Kante + Payet than getting just Pogba.
Do you see what i'm saying?
Correct me if I'm wrong but that would still leave us without box to box midfielder?
You being deluded.
One of the reasons Simeone has stayed is because he was promised no key players would be sold. Griezmann signed a new contract and his release clause increased.
lol. Koke said no to Barcelona two years in a row. He doesn't want to leave.
I'll be this many 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 in this many 1,1 years.I thought only 7 year olds say lol. How old are you?
Why do people care how much it costs?
Got to agree with youShameful amount of posts in this thread considering the lack of any decent source claiming a transfer is anywhere near likely.
This will end in tears.
That was the old regime. The management team has changed entirely. Remember Barca bought Fabregas back as well, though the fee was less.
So is the embarassment from buying player we let go or the fee? What fee would not make us a laughing stock?
But that's not the money you spend on potential, hence why barcelona and real seem to be shying away from that deal.
For that kind of money we should be looking at tier 1 footballers, we're breaking a record here, that's the money you pay for suarez or bale, not for a potentially top midfielder like pogba. There won't be any resale value if he fails to reach his potential.
The top players cost a lot of money.Because £100m is a lot of money.
The top players cost a lot of money.
Because £100m is a lot of money.
Because £100m is a lot of money.
Who's money is it? Given the amount of money those leeches have taken out of the club since 2005, i would much rather it was spent on the team regardless of price.
So instead of buying Pogba you want to buy 2 players the don't want to move, from a club that don't want to sell, would probably cost £170m combined.....I think it would be easier and more efficient for us all to A Madrid instead.
He told you that, did he? Best mates?Pogba doesn't even want to come here, he wants to go to Barca.
Its Man Utd's money, and I care about spending wisely. Questioning a £100m bid on Paul Pogba is justified really.
Prices have changed, to whoever said that only Messi, Neymar, Suarez are worth 100 million, these players are actually worth at least double that in todays market. As a club you should get with the times to stay relevant, because chances are prices are going to be even higher next year and the one after that.
I remember when Brazilian Ronaldo went from PSV to Barcelona for 30 million. It seemed insane money at the time.
There's nothing reliable saying we're close to getting him, but there's plenty of reliable sources saying we're in for him. I think it's 50/50 at the moment whether he'll join. I can't see Madrid matching either the fee or wages we'd offer, but then the question is can Mino convince Pogba to join, when he likely wants to move to Spain. Saying that, even if we do sign him, I think he would stay for 3/4 years maximum before moving to Madrid (if he proves himself). So if this were to happen, we need to make sure he's under contract (offering him regular contracts with bonus incentives) otherwise we would't be able to get a decent fee when selling (of course I'm speculating way too much here).Got to agree with you
Only stories I've seen have been from the fail, star and some other toliet paper associated with these two
Pogba doesn't even want to come here, he wants to go to Barca. As I said earlier, I think Griezmann and Kante would cost about the same as Pogba, they certainly wouldn't cost £170m![]()
He told you that, did he? Best mates?
How do you know it's £100m?
That's the sum that is being commonly thrown around.
And how do you know Kante and Greizman want to come here?
Wow. How can someone get so many things wrong in one post? Griezmann has just signed a new contract and will not be moving to us. Simple as that. Matuidi and Veratti are PSG players so again that's not happening. Which leaves us with Draxler and Matic who don't even play in the same position...
Also it's pretty clear that we are in for him as there's too many sources supporting that and not your usual trash like The Sun or The Daily Star. I do find it unlikely that we will get him though.
Do you not think Woodward and the Glazer's also care about spending it wisely? They have even more reason to care about the money than you do. If we do spend £100m on Pogba what does that tell you?Its Man Utd's money, and I care about spending wisely. Questioning a £100m bid on Paul Pogba is justified really.

I've seen figures of £65m, £80m, 100m euros as well. £100m is obviously the higher figure and therefore people are running with that.
If your basing you not wanting Pogba because of £100m, you should wait to keep debating this issue until it's actually confirmed. If you don't like the player, that's a different conversation altogether.
