Alli, aged 19, playing in a tougher league, for not the most dominant team, has scored or assisted 19 goals in 28 league starts (33 appearances) ... a much higher percentage of goals scored or created. He cost £4m ... one 25th of what you're proposing to pay for Pogba, and that's not including wages.
So if you're using club stats to justify Pogba at £100m ....

Martial-Rooney- Mkhitaryan will be behind the striker. Pogba will be one of the two deeper midfielders, his physical presence and ability to drive with the ball something Mourinho will like but he really isn't the player for that role, he can't control a midfield. It doesn't suit his skill set. Unless Jose will play him a little further forward and drop Rooney completely because we will struggle if he plays deeper in midfield.

No I'm using stats to show he was playing out of position tonight if you read the post in full. Also that people seem to think he does nothing in any games apart from a fancy flick or pass every now and then when clearly he does more.

Alli doesn't play for us so it's irrelevant. It's not like Alli is going to be shunted out of the team if Pogba comes along because he isn't a United player. That's the only reason he should be in the debate.
Not all transfers are created equal. We've taken plenty of successful gambles on youth team players and young starlets too. It doesn't mean that when we've spent money on more accomplished players it's never been worth it.
The logical conclusion to that argument is that we shouldn't spend any money on players if we can produce the likes of Rashford for free. If only reality was as simple as the logic in your mind.

That's pretty much what you said. You implied that of our yearly income we would spend £150m+ in transfer fees plus wages.
If the transfer fee is the £100m which is going around, then you are saying he will receive £50m+ in wages in one year.
