he's a playmaker.No, he would be the attacking box-to-box like Fellaini/Ander Herrera.

People saying Pogba does nothing and is massively overrated need to look at his club stats, yes he plays for the most dominant team in Italy but when you score or create 62 goals in 143 apps as a midfielder ... .
Pogba doesn't control the tempo of his team's play or dominate midfield so I don't believe he is.he's a playmaker.
Alli, aged 19, playing in a tougher league, for not the most dominant team, has scored or assisted 19 goals in 28 starts (33 appearances) ... a much higher percentage of goals scored or created. He cost £4m ... one 25th of what you're proposing to pay for Pogba, and that's not including wages.
So if you're using club stats to justify Pogba at £100m ....

Is this some kind of Rawkish style thinly veiled attempt to say Alli is better than Pogba?, because if it is, i just dont....Alli, aged 19, playing in a tougher league, for not the most dominant team, has scored or assisted 19 goals in 28 starts (33 appearances) ... a much higher percentage of goals scored or created. He sure did, but a player so deep can only affect the game so much against a team defending so deep. Not quite comparable, but this is really why I think some of the stick that Carrick has gotten over the years is unfair. He was wrong for sure, but i suppose you could look at it that he had the belief in Pogba to be able to play that role (which he did very well to be fair).
Why do you even come to this forum?Alli, aged 19, playing in a tougher league, for not the most dominant team, has scored or assisted 19 goals in 28 league starts (33 appearances) ... a much higher percentage of goals scored or created. We pay 5 years of wages at once? Mental business idea from us.
Irony. That's not what I said and you know it. Thus your post is a waste of space.

Anyone who uses pure stats/talent to justify transfer prices is moronic. It's about that AND marketability. Alli looks like he's angry all the time (probably because he finished below Arsenal - like Spurs always seem to do) and has resting bitch face. He has no marketability and wasn't expected to be good. Naturally you guys found him at a good price. Pogba is a marketing machine and has been touted as a superstar for nearly a decade now. Naturally he's going to cost more. Like stop comparing Spurs players to United players, we will always pay more for players of equal value on the pitch (Pogba is better, but just to make my point) due to marketing reasons and because we're a stronger financial club going after players multiple clubs want. Stop spewing bullshit about his price like it matters.
See, this is why people are finding your posts ridiculous and absurd. You come up with stuff like this.that Liverpool team he played on was a great counter attacking team that scored over a 100 goals.
This place is justYes, Pogba has been average tonight, yes he didn't have the best Euro but who did? Muller, Kane, even Ronaldo and Bale were mostly anonymous although scored a few goals. Stop changing your opinion every 15 mins.

Can you explain why they would do this?
Rooney had 14 goals and assists in the league last year from 27 appearances..Alli, aged 19, playing in a tougher league, for not the most dominant team, has scored or assisted 19 goals in 28 league starts (33 appearances) ... a much higher percentage of goals scored or created. While I'm busy throwing my guts and soul out there trying to explain to you why Suarez at Barca surrounded by the likes of Messi and Neymar is a combination for goals, you come up with arguments about how Liverpool was some great counter attacking team that year.
I mean, come on now mate.
I'm confident that you're WUMING nowwhat the feck? Liverpool created loads of chances. That's what you are saying about Barca.
Teams park the buss against Barca and they spend a still load of time poking and prodding. Liverpool that year had a relentless counter-attacking setup and blew teams away. like 5-0 at half-time away.
Chances created is what matters for strikers. Suarez had no shortage of chances.
Alli doesn't play for us so it's irrelevant. It's not like Alli is going to be shunted out of the team if Pogba comes along because he isn't a United player. That's the only reason he should be in the debate.
Not all transfers are created equal. We've taken plenty of successful gambles on youth team players and young starlets too. It doesn't mean that when we've spent money on more accomplished players it's never been worth it.
The logical conclusion to that argument is that we shouldn't spend any money on players if we can produce the likes of Rashford for free. If only reality was as simple as the logic in your mind.
that's exactly what it means, sack Jose hire Ronaldo and sign EderPogba didn't have a great game tonight, but that doesn't mean he isn't a great player!
No I'm using stats to show he was playing out of position tonight if you read the post in full. Also that people seem to think he does nothing in any games apart from a fancy flick or pass every now and then when clearly he does more.
Great stats that for Ali but how did he do for England at the euros. Also if you look at Pogba Juventus stats, he only cost them £800k so I guess that's a pretty good return don't you?
Which brings me back to how much do you think levy would want for Ali if United enquire about him?
Yes, it's a great return for Juve, but that's not what we're talking about.
As for Alli, after Berbatov Levy changed club policy: no more star players to Prem rivals. They either stay, or go abroad if they want to leave. So any United enquiries would be pointless, but I don't want to get into that further in this thread.

36 ignored messages and lots of talk about United's finances. Don't even need to ask who's at the centre of all this.

I have. £150+m including wages is well over one-third of your total income (£395m) in your last published annual accounts (filed October 2015). Yes, your income has increased since then, but even so ...
Yes the payments and wages would be spread out into the future, but this comes on top of massive net spending on additions to your last title winning squad ... much of which also involves future payment commitments. Cumulatively this all adds up. Chickens come home to roost.

Scrolled up and can't find your explanation for why Madrid would want to bump up the fee and give a CL rival like Juventus, one which knocked them out recently, more moneyI already have. Just scroll back a few posts.
Yeah, but that's just his wages. Is it £250 Million yet?
