Bloody hell, I bet this has knocked that smile off Woody's face - he's gone all that way for nothing!
who ever counts it has a trophy needs to give their heads a wobble.
Not watched many Charity Shield games, then, have you?
Guys I've found Moyes' caf account.
glorified friendly is all the CS has ever been.
Good day for the fans at Wembley in the sun ( hopefully) but thats about it, who ever counts it has a trophy needs to give their heads a wobble.
They are shed to arrive back in Manchester at 05:20 26th.We travelling back to Manchester today?
our best ever season , the Treble was after a 3-0 hammering from Arsenal.
I am not saying that it is as competitive as any other fixtures and winning CS is a big deal but it definitely is no friendly as well with some good games in the past. It is simply a morale boosting way to start your season and set yourself up for the season.
Moyes did win it as far as I remember and it went all downhill for him from there on
I do watch all CS games and they are quite fun, but would not count it as friendly.
Jesus, you wouldn't let u11's play on that. The pitch

Terrible isn't it.Jesus, you wouldn't let u11's play on that.
I agree, after major tournaments like EUROS's and WC's and Copa, they should scrap pre- season tours or do one in Europe, too much pressure on the players.
What a mess!

As I recall - there was a period in the early 2000 - when the team who lost the CS, lwon the league. It happened rather frequently.
why ? you would expect an stadium of that quality to have a decent playing pitch, also the amount of rain they have had recently is more that most have ever seen.Well, if it is because of the pitch, you would have to question our preparation. Wouldn't we send people over to inspect such things a month ahead of time?
Its overcast in the south.Anyone want to go for a beer in Germany around 1pm today … It's a lovely sunny day here and I've now got feck all to do!

yeah I can see your point, but would you expect say Bayen Munich to send somebody to check over pitches in this country or US for example, football in China is pretty big , you would expect them to be top notch.I just would have thought they'd check the facilities before they send £400m worth of easily-damaged goods over to play.
I would have thought they'd have checked the training facilities and hotels were up to snuff.
he would not of even got to the pitch , he would've slipped on a puddle walking into the ground.Phil Jones leg would have fallen off if he even got a whiff of that pitch
That would be boring I guess. I was looking forward for Rio, Vidic and Scoles and Giggs to play this.Guess they'll just play with the current squads.
