David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

I notice Moyes left out some important details

He's deluded. In every other line of business the result would be similar, no matter what type of contract he was on. He probably would have rolled out the same excuse if he was sacked after four years. "Well I was given a 6 year contract and not allowed to see it through so I was treated badly".
 
Moyesiah is still blowing the same trumpet & a number of people here wonder why he gets all the bashing here.

David Moyes is an interesting case in that he is a prime example of the Peter principle, and the Dunning Kruger effect in action.
 
He really is deluded in the extreme. Does he think he had the right to see out a 6 year contract, regardless of how he performed? He had an entire competitive season, and failed miserably. He makes it sound like he was sacked without reason after a month or something.

Also, imagine reading that as a Sunderland fan. "That is where I should be working, and my level is that." In other words, you're beneath me. It's not enough that he's already described the incredible "rebuilding job" he's got on his hands, but now he's spouting off about how he deserves to be at a bigger club. Imagine getting together with a girl, then spending the first date banging on about your ex.

"Well, I used to go out with a stunner, but she packed me in very unfairly I thought. She should have given me more time to prove I have a bigger dick, but I still believe that's the level of girls I should be attracting. In the mean time, you'll do of course, but I've got a tough job on my hands to get you up to her level, or even the level of your friends."

He really needs to let it go. When he left I had no real issues with him, he was just out of his depth. But to constantly keep talking about us is stupid, move on David.
 
Not only he's a self serving twat, he's not very bright.

By keep on bringing the United farce he's only showcasing his ineptitude more, most smart people would have been quiet about their patchy years and hope people forget. Bringing on his united tenure times and times again is simply reminding people of how shit he really are, not a wise move.

But this is the thing, he is over estimating his own ability , he doesn't understand the reasons why he failed so therefore is doomed to repeat them unless someone sits him down and explains to him, very slowly, where and why he went wrong and what the correct course of action was.

EDIT: If Sunderland has the money he probably bids for Fellaini for 30M. I hate new managers who poaches players from his old club, especially youth / squad player. It only shows that they lack the network and only relying on previous entourage.

This is football. You can't just say "yeah I ballsed it up" all the time. Moyes wanted to maintain a good image after the United debacle and to be honest some of it was the players fault even though Manchester United is not his level and the 7th place finish was just unnacceptable.

I just don't understand why people hate on Moyes so much. He came, he tried, he failed and he's left. Move on.

I liked Moyes but this is kind of interviews that shows he is not the "humble, hard working" manager. He lives in his own bubble. Yes he was given 6 year contract that doesn't mean he will get 6 years time to prove his worth to the team. Any club would have sacked him in 6 months, he is lucky that he was given chance until 4th was mathematically not possible.

From champions to 7th place, embarrassed by every big team and is still moaning about how unfairly he was treated.

The Moyes sympathy in here amazes me, just as much as it amazed me at Utd.
Three years on & 2 massive failure payouts later and Moyes is STILL crying about not getting enough time.

If he fails at Sunderland then wouldn't put it past him to come out and say something like 'If Utd had not treated me so harshly then I'd be comfortably taking them to Carling cup finals by now as opposed to getting sacked at Sunderland, so there's absolutely no question in my mind at all that Man Utd are to blame for this mess at Sunderland'

It wouldn't surprise me if he's still muttering under his breath about 6 year contracts and 10 months, and how unfairly he was treated by United 25-30 years from now.

I think he will do great at Sunderland, he is a coach I really liked, he just wasn't ready and never will be ready to coach a club like United. It is not his fault it didn't work out, it was the fault from the people who hired him in the first place. If they decide to hire me, Chances are things will go boom aswell but hell if they ask me, I'll sign with both hands and try me utbest whilst at it but they should never ask me, they should never have asked Moyes either. But at a club like Sunderland he can be good I think.

I get the whole no one would turn the chance down, he tried, he failed yadda yadda.

But of course it was his fault it didn't work out. He was the manager, he made the decisions that lead to too many poor results that resulted in him being sacked.

I was fairly late in turning on him as our manager. However he has since gone on to show how wrong I was being patient. He is a massive bell end of a man, and he can't let it go that the club sacked him, he did feck all for us, he was shit end of. To now try and claim he was hard done by is delusional to say the least. Massive cnut.
 
Even just sat idle in the stands the dour faced cnut manages to demotivate me and suck the joy out of football.
 
Deary me, some people! :lol: Acting as if he did something to them personally. It's bizarre. I have more contempt for van Gaal but I don't lose sleep over it and it wouldn't bother me if he did a kiss and tell story or anything like that. Fact is they've left United now so why get steamed up about what they say or do. It's only going to make people look stupid if Sunderland do a number on us this season.
 
I'm struggling to understand how Moyes and Sunderland can think it's a good idea to give Chelsea treble the money they paid for a player who hardly featured for them at all last season. I know they have a habit of getting good money for the players they sell but seriously, they paid under £3m for Djilibodji and have just sold him for £8m when he did literally nothing for them last season. Very random first signing by Moyes, he had better get some more transfers done for them quickly or they will probably be in trouble next season.
