Angel Di Maria | Performances | Wife: "He only joined United for money. The food was disgusting. The women look like porcelain"

Jesus, what happened to PSG? Even without Ibra they should be easily stomping any team in that league.

Their attack relies on two players in Cavani and Di Maria who can both run hot and cold, other than Veratti they lack creativity in midfield(look at the midfield they just used) and they could still be learning Emery's tactics or might not even be suited to it.

It's remarkable how I've managed to erase most of his time here from my mind.
We signed him for nearly 60m. Sold him for nearly 50. Totally forget he played for us till I see his name pop up.

He was pretty average under Mourinho as a winger. His true world class season was under Ancelotti playing as a left sided centre mid.

He wasn't average for Mourinho. Can't imagine what you must think of our wingers now if Di Maria was average for Mourinho's Madrid.

Forgetting his great stats, he was an engine for them. Covering for the fullbacks at times.

Can't help but think under Mourinho he'd be back to his best and would fit perfectly into the system we play now. He would be the ideal signing right now and with him having issues at PSG (owners questioning his desire and being booed by PSG fans) and reports about him going to Chinese league it would be a good time to inquire about his availability. Under Mourinho he will be a completely different player to what we saw under Van Gaal and he's also played with Zlatan and knows his game pretty damn well.

Zlatan
Di Maria.............................Mkhitaryan
Pogba............Herrera
Carrick

He'd be useless on wings. This could have been some sight:

Herrera
Pogba - Di Maria
Miki - Zlatan - Martial

Legs and engines in midfield. Dynamic all around.

Reading the recent stories though I'm glad we sold him. Such a fragile character.

This is a joke right?

He's a class player but he's more trouble than he's worth. Very poor attitude, bad player to have in the dressing room and doesn't have the courage, desire and temperament to be even worthy of putting on a Man Utd shirt. He's just a mercenary who didn't want to play for us in the first place.

What a terrible idea that would be.

Di Maria didn't fail here simply because of Van Gaal.

I've always considered ADM as a better player when he plays on the right wing.

Such a talented player. Pity about his attitude. I don't know what happened to him after his big transfer move to United in 2014. The price tag probably got to his head and he felt like the biggest star player at the club (something he never was at Madrid). Ever since then he only turns up when he wants to.

If there was ever a player that needed performance based pay, ADM is surely it.

And Adebayor.

Why didn't he take free kicks like that for us?!

Breathtaking.

Been excellent to be fair, but I still don't like the guy

Yeah.... but Ashley Young is better right?

If only we'd kept him, AdM under Jose would of been excellent.

With or without LvG is there a chance that DiMaria was only here long enough to get a transfer to PSG anyways? If I am remembering correctly he only came to us when a deal with PSG fell apart at the last minute. So we can question how much he wanted to be at United anyways. He was here, it did not work out, now he is long gone.

Good game tonight, but he's still had shite performances for PSG.

That's generally the case with someone who's as creative as him. Ozil was much more streakier at Madrid, than the safer (almost cowardly) version you see at Arsenal. And he was a much better player for it.
