And yet I wonder if any of those other managers had the specific words, "not X's fault" printed about them...?
Despite the revision, Allardyce left them in good form, and he also managed to do good business with them in the January window.
Rather than giving excuses, he got on with it and pulled out some great signings and results.
I mean, just take a look at their last 6 results before Moyes took over...
Watford 2 - 2 Sun
Sun 3 - 0 Everton
Sun 3 - 2 Chelsea
Stoke 1 - 1 Sun
Arsenal 0 - 0 Sun
Norwich 0 - 3 Sun
What we're seeing now is the 'Moyesian Revision' - that period of time where Moyes and his media cronies try to pull the wool over earnest supporters eyes and ears with an endless run of excuses and reasons why this isn't Moyes' fault.
This goes on until he gets sacked and then the fog clears and supporters see clearly.
What are you talking about? The games you talk about happened in May (last game may 14) and the first game this season was on August 14. You are surprised that a team (that too a team as shit as Sunderland) hasn't carried a form over 4 months? Even mourinho (with Chelsea) and Rainieri(with Leicester now) found it difficult to carry on the previous form
