Can we not sack him for that? Tell me we can
Yeah, that's totally what we want after this total 'nonsense in the media'.Hope he scores and we see some sort of drunken celebration. The celebration vs Spurs was fantastic after the whole Bardsley nonsense in the media.
proper laff innitHope he scores and we see some sort of drunken celebration. The celebration vs Spurs was fantastic after the whole Bardsley nonsense in the media.
So if he plays well, scores and celebrates that way, it's not something you'd want? Or you rather he be dropped than score and do well in a big game?Yeah, that's totally what we want after this total 'nonsense in the media'.
I'd rather he didn't play again if drinking alcohol until the early hours of the morning is what he gets up to mid-week when he should be training with the national team and preparing for matches. So if he plays well, scores and celebrates that way, it's not something you'd want? I do think fans tend to overreact to footballers smoking/drinking every once in a while. Yeah he shouldn't be having that much to drink but is it really that big a deal if he drinks or Wilshere smokes once in a while? Or do footballers not enjoy their life as long as it's not affecting their performance.
That's the evidence you should have waited for. Whether it's Rooney, Pogba, Steven Gerard or Barack Obama... don't jump the gun just because you have an axe to grind.

Wasn't it on the Saturday night? Don't players have the off on Sunday for training and their match was tonight. I'm not really justifying his partying late into the night but I do think too much is made of players having a bit of fun once in a while. I'm sure there are plenty of times they go drinking with friends and family mid season and you never hear about it.While on international duty its surely different?
Good point, well made.%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i68.tinypic.com/2h84isx.jpg%5B/IMG%5D

Unless they're chain smokers, I don't think a smoke a week or two will really do them much harm. If Rooney were in the form of his life, this would be a non issue really but the English media likes to make a big deal about anything involving their players. As far as I know, there's very strict protocol on basketball and NFL football players against smoking. I actually do wonder why it's so common to see top flight footballers smoke when it's bad for the lungs.

I have no agenda. I don't think Rooney is good enough to play in United's first choice XI. But that doesn't mean I'll believe any old bollocks just so I can character assassinate him.If you have an agenda you'll believe anything, in your case your agenda will blind you.

or at least not in public wearing official England gearAll jokes aside, as a serious athlete you should not be drinking to excess or smoking. The time to get shit faced is when you're retired.
Rooney has form for this though. I'm fairly certain he turned up hungover at training whilst SAF was still here. There's also little snippets about him liking to have a drink.Unless they're chain smokers, I don't think a smoke a week or two will really do them much harm. Those pics reflect badly on him and now it's worth criticising him. Before they came out, it wasn't a story worth putting much stock in. The Sun doesn't deserve that much respect.to be fair those pics could be anyone

when was picture taken?
I hardly think he'd look sluggish because he had a lot of drinks 6 days prior to the game.Look, it's fecking annoying. Against Swansea he looked much fitter than he's looked for a while and he would have turned up for the Arsenal game and looked sluggish again, all because he'd been on a bender.
If you're the captain of the club and earning 250K PW, I'd expect much better.

I dunno, my hangovers last ages these daysI hardly think he'd look sluggish because he had a lot of drinks 6 days prior to the game.
