Angel Di Maria | Performances | Wife: "He only joined United for money. The food was disgusting. The women look like porcelain"

He seems to only try in the big games? Can't get himself going in glorious ties like away at Burnley. He's been poor for PSG in the league.

In before the "why did Van gaal rob his house and sell him" comments.

Great performance from Angel but lets be honest how many performances like that did he provide for Real, ourselves and Psg? Not enough for me to wish here was still here anyway.

Besides Barca are really flattering this PSG side.

He's always been good when it suits him. Only suits the lily-livered twat when everything is going his way, though.
Yep. As much as I enjoy watching him at his best, we made the right decision in getting rid. His heart wasn't in it here.

Di Maria has always had the occasional great game. Ability and talent were never the problems, consistency and mental toughness were, however, lacking.

Great performance by him, hadn't seen this display from him in a while (but again I don't even follow PSG nor watch french league) and it couldn't have happened at a better time against a better bunch. I'm very glad for him and his goal was the one I celebrated the most but it was odd watching him get subbed so early.

He's a good player who lacks heart when confronted with the toughness of the Premiership...

He was an absolute beast in the Champions League Final before we got him and again tonight. If he could only play like that consistently...

It's sad, I think he'd perform very well under a Mourinho led United. Pity about the timing of his move and him having to play under a manager as rigid as LVG. We can thank ourselves for giving Moyes the fecking job originally:annoyed:

He also tried in the FA Cup against Arsenal to get himself sent off

I still find it odd how his mentality has changed. The lack of fight he has now I suppose.

When Ancelotti arrived at Real in 2013, it looked like Di Maria was heading off. Ancelotti started Isco centrally and Bale on the right, and Di Maria was succumbed to the bench. Pretty sure I remember Ancelotti saying Di Maria stayed, because he wanted to fight for his place whereas Ozil did not.

Eventually of course, Ancelotti changed the system and Di Maria played that winger/midfielder hybrid role where he excelled. Maybe being sold by Real stung him.

He was our best player away against Burnley, it was one of his first games if not his first. It was a shite game though and we drew 0-0. When he first came he looked amazing but he just faded over time for whatever reasons. Probably right about it being a mental thing, just keeping up his concentration over the course of a league season or something.

 that chip

All he had to was square it sums up the selfish nature of the man

As with Cavani's chance you just knew they'd miss. Didn't think it'd be so costly, though!

Bit of a weird insult for him really.... I mean he's know for getting assists.

Weak mentality? Definitely.

The fact that his ineptitude cost them the entire tie makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

I think he would be stupid to pass the ball in that situation because of the second Barca tracking back. If hes not there, its an easy pass across ala Bayern yesterday with Vidals goal.

I cant tell if his foot was clipped or not. At first I thought it wasnt, then you see Mascherano(?) dive in, and sometimes you see the little clip can put you off balance easily, even if its slight. Surprised there was no zoom in on that.

As he came on today I thought about the weak mentality claims.

Is he weak mentally?

Was his foot clipped? I can't tell.

Just seen a clip of him shushing the Barcelona fans during the Cavani celebrations. Didn't know he did that.

Someone should tell him never to shoot. He's dreadful at it, pass at all chances even when he's through on goal and the closest attacker is at the half way line.
