Back on topic, Spurs beating Madrid does make our result look better. It also makes our approach look less defensive. Harry Kane doesn’t improve Spurs defence and we caused them more problems over 90 minutes than Ronaldo et al (and that’s without an Alderweireld injury)

A.Pereira could have started Burton instead of Carrick, even perhaps Liverpool away instead of Young in midfield, and specially in a 4-3-3 away at Huddersfield, in which we went forced to play a disastrous 4-2-3-1 with Mata.

Not sure Mourinho will want him to return in the winter market, nor does the player. Besides, having lost his spot at Valencia, he's still contributing to their fantastic campaign. We should start considering offers on him next summer.
