Can someone rationalise why Zidane is resigning? I think he will regret it for a 'break' or 'new challenge'. He has the best players available to him and if he wants a challenge, well there is an ageing team in Real Madrid where he can build on.

True, but that was before he won the CL. I get that Real are trigger happy with their managers, but Zizou isn't just the most successful manager for them in recent history, he's also a footballing legend for them. Perez seems to have a great relationship with him, too.

There's a much higher chance he'll manage Juve or PSG. I don't think he really cares about United or sees any appeal in managing in the EPL.
