Day 10: Belgium vs Tunisia, South Korea vs Mexico and Germany vs Sweden

Don't mind Germany turning it around.

Want to see Germany- Brazil in round of 16.
Exactly. I love underdog stories but not at the expense of brazil v. Germany. To be fair ,also want Argentina to turn it around and play France. Now imagine those two matches in ro16

Brazil probably might not win their group.

So you will likely get Switzerland v Germany .

Nah Brazil will beat Serbia. Too risky them just playing for a draw as Serbia would get confidence and Brazil would be knocked out by a defeat.

Even ifGermany qualify, would be stupid to stick with Lów.

He’s done well - you can’t blame the manager when half of the squad has aged mentally & physically. Müller is a shadow of himself, Ozil has gotten even lazier since the last time he played for Arsenal.

The German team needs help from the up & coming talents. A lot of the old guards should be retired by now. I think there’s a dearth of talents to fill in the gap.

Lindelof has the remarkable ability to be anonymous at CB, rarely see him impact the game or be the defender making the key stop. Maybe he is just reading the game, but it always feels watching him he is looking to avoid making a mistake first and has no real aggression in his play.

Goal not his fault, but why is thinking handball when he is 8 yards off the ball, time to react, don't tuck your hands and limit your mobility. Makes no difference in that play in all likelihood but the thought process concerns me.

Sweden must weather this storm. This is a critical phase of the match. They will get at least 1 more chance to score. If Germany score now then Sweden won't get back into it.

Yes I love seeing underdog stories but ultimately world cups are defined by classic knock out matches and those two potential games you mentioned could well be epics.

Sweden are an excellent tactical team but them playing Brazil just wouldn't be a great spectacle.

Draw would be a decent result for Sweden, they'd need a point vs an already-qualified Mexico to get through. A dodgy result for Germany for that same reason.

Doesn't really have a presence as a CB. I'm not sure if he's a CB in a back 2 - maybe in a back 3 in the right set up.

What is the next generation of German talent like because they are going to need them to step up in the not too distant future.

If they lose and Germany win? Goal difference?
Yes, but the current difference is Sweden on +1 and Germany on -1, so even the smallest goal swing would level that up.

Has Boateng forgotten which position he plays?

I swear Messi tracks back better than he has in this game.
