So this is all the gameplan, hoping for a Beckham/Rooney reaction? I just don't understand it from the POV that if a player gets sent off or scores an own goal, Colombia is the worst team to represent. If you live there that is, or have any family members there.

I think it would have been very soft one considering the circumstances, the ref got it spot on for me, it wasn’t excessive enough for me to make such a big decision and leave Columbia with a men down for the rest of the game.
He was very stupid to do that but at the same time he clearly didn’t want to headbutt Henderson’s chin and went for a chest to shove him away from standing in the wall, should have used his hands it wouldn’t have looked this bad then.

I see what you mean, but if everyone did the same on every occasion, we'd descend into chaos.
England have had 8 shots compared to Colombias 4. The problem is that most of our shots are either off target or blocked. We just need to step it up a gear and be clinical again.
Colombia will tire the longer into the game we go and that will open up space. Rashford and/or Vardy should come on later and take advantage of that. The problem we've had is that Colombia have sat deep and defended in numbers which is proved difficult for us to break down.
We should be trying to use Lingard and Trippier on the right more imo.

Don't blame the ref for not giving a red card. As Mark Clattenburg pointed out on ITV, the ref didn't see the infraction, but did refer it to VAR. It was the VAR official, not the ref, who advised only a yellow. The referee, under current VAR rules, isn't allowed to review the play himself.

I'm not talking about that incident. You said the rules say any headbutt is dangerous play and a red, regardless of force and intent. I'm saying the ref should be allowed to use common sense and discretion, taking into account force and intent.
