They are basically throwing the kitchen sink at him in the hope that something works.
I think the big question is if doctors would give him dexamethasone earlier (as in with milder symptoms) than they would “normal” patients, since he’s the president.
This was my initial thought as well. Trump will have access to everything regardless of what stage he's at.
Why would supposedly the best doctors in the world administer antibody cocktails that haven't been approved for even emergency use and powerful steroids meant to be used when on supplementary oxygen ? Is some other 'doctor' that Trump trusts calling the shots here ?
Remdesivir will keep him alive, just like it did Boris. It's apparently very effective but they've been keeping it under wraps and away from the general public.
Indeed. I asked my wife and her colleagues earlier today and they were saying similar things. It doesn’t add up.The recovery trial clearly showed worse outcomes when dexamethasone was given to people not on oxygen. So giving to him would be inappropriate based on evidence if he is not on oxygen. Being the president shouldn't change evidence.

For the worst cases. It's already been used for far longer than that.So under wraps that it gets mentioned everywhere and the FDA has allowed it to be used on all Coronavirus patients. Top secret stuff.
Stephen Ireland looking happy there
Steroid medication is now part of standard treatment for bad cases of COVID-19, just like blood thinners. Steroid medication serves to slow down the immune system, as lots of people were killed by cytokine storms (an immune system overreaction).Guys just a quick question regarding administration of steroids, would that not potentially be very serious malpractice if the MDs know (which they obviously will) those steroids have the potential to make things worse yet they still administered them?
If he dies and those steroids end up a contributing factor, would they not be struck off? Just seems like they’d use them as directed - in emergencies only.
What is your source for this?!Remdesivir will keep him alive, just like it did Boris. It's apparently very effective but they've been keeping it under wraps and away from the general public.
She also agrees with this for what it’s worth. The top 3 of that list are the ones to really look atEveryone has access to dexamethasone. There is a reason we don't give it to everyone just like that. See above
Other than top 3 none of that is really treatment for covid 19. It's all just supportove bs.
Now it is. But Boris was first treated with it back in march/april, when it was restricted to the public for all but the worst cases. Does she acknowledge that it's effective? What is your source for this?!
I showed this post to my girlfriend who’s a COVID ICU work and she says that’s absolute nonsense, they’ve been administering remdesivir for months.
But you posted that todayNow it is. But Boris was first treated with it back in march/april, when it was restricted to the public for all but the worst cases. Does she acknowledge that it's effective?
I can see how the post could be construed as me waking from a coma since may, yes. But I can assure you that wasn't the case. But you posted that today![]()
I can't find a clip but it reminds me of the Simpsons episode with the leader where he drives past his followers and only gives them a wave
