Ironically it was a non sporting decision that got him the seat in the first place. Money from Daddy. I've never seen an F1 driver with less ability than this guy.
There was enough material just from the title fight to create two full seasons , instead they put that in the last two episodes and the rest was about teams nobody cares about.i can't believe they essentially dedicated a whole episode of DTS to a mazespin redemption plot. That Russia GP episode was fecking HILARIOUS, esepcially the radio message at the end that made it sound like mazespin clawed his way up the field.![]()
I love DTS, but wow, the amount of show-induced narratives, outright cringe inducing "breakfast chats" and careful framing of comments needs to be refreshed. I want behind the scenes, not a scripted-PR show.

Nice top view comparison
Anyone but Red Bull and I wouldn’t mind too much. Not because of Max, and certainly not because of Perez. I just really do dislike Horner.
It would be so great to see Ferrari take it. McLaren competing would be great too. And like all 4 of those drivers too. I’d love Williams to compete but that’s just unrealistic.
After that, Mercedes because I just have sympathy for Hamilton and I’d like to see Russell do well.
Quite indifferent to everyone else really although would be nice to see Gasly, Vettel, Schumi and Alonso do well.
You're probably right, though Perez isn't necessarily a bad driver. He did well at Racing Point and has had a few good drives in the Red Bull as well. Red Bull and Max have both said they've made the car more stable at the rear for this year so less tailored towards Max's driving style and easier to drive for most drivers. They felt that with last year's car they went down a development path that benefitted Max but hurt the general performance of the car and made it harder to drive. Also this year it's a brand new car which Perez will have helped develop so it'll probably suit him better. I think there's a good chance Perez will do better this year but we'll see.I feel the same. Also if red bull run away with it it's max on his own, perez is nowhere near him, whereas ferrari and Mercedes have two really good drivers so there would at least be an inter team title fight.
Ideally like you say all 3 involved.

No surprise that Mazepin senior threatened to pull his funding if they didnt swap Mick and Nikita's cars, because they were paranoid Mick had been given the better parts.

Is anyone else immature enough as me to giggle that when Toto said “kiss” in (I presume) Austrian in the 9/10th episode, it sounded like “pussy”![]()
Basically admitting they fecked up and Hamilton was robbed. Even due to the last bit not being changed, "the following lap". So the rules weren't even remotely followed.
Absolute shit show.
Yeah I think I agree with this rather than the Lewis was robbed angle, but I dont want the arguments starting again, my last comment about last season.Rather admitting there was enough ambiguity for what happened to have not been strictly against the rules. Otherwise it wouldnt need rewording.
This is just housekeeping and closing off potential to misinterpret rules and regs. I think the fact they've had to let go of Michael Masi is the biggest shame, not who won or lost on the day or for the championship, who was robbed or not, but at the end of the day it has brought up an issue being exposed to what you could call undue pressure from both team bosses regardless of who got their way on this occasion, maybe out of many others. A nice guy who was very respected has lost his job. Yup, last word.Yeah I think I agree with this rather than the Lewis was robbed angle, but I dont want the arguments starting again, my last comment about last season.
Its race week, looking forward to it.

Everyone mentions this Spirit of the Rules/Regs like it's written in stone somewhere, maybe on the backend of Moses Ten Commandments, but, try looking for it. The last race of the year proved that where there's wriggle room that makes the game fairer for one, but not the other..they'll take it thank you very much. No, let's not return to last season. While you're right that there needs to be a buffer between the teams and the race director, Masi had to go because he'd been a disaster for most of the season even if Latifi hadn't crashed. The debacle in Abu Dhabi was just the icing on a multi storey cake.
As for the rewording, while the spirit of the rules was clear before, it's sensible to make sure the wording of the rules is watertight to ward off "creative" interpretations.
In fairness to the FIA their response to all of this has gone a long way to restoring sporting credibility, which was in the gutter.

Ambiguity that was exploited and abused by Masi who then decided the result, yes.Rather admitting there was enough ambiguity for what happened to have not been strictly against the rules. Otherwise it wouldnt need rewording.
