The New low (I.) Q. Republicans and Ted Cruz

If only they d even see the tiniest sliver of irony in basically agreeing with things extremists elsewhere say about these things. You know the pretenses we have used to spread "freedom and democracy" to oppressive regimes around the world.

They don't see it as a contradiction. In fact, extremist Christians like extremist Muslims a lot more than they like secular people.

Agreed, as extremist Christians follow the actual teachings of Jesus about as well as an extremist Muslim would.

Don't tread on me!

I cringe seeing those flags and stickers as well. Have seen a few flags on a handful of "mini-mansions" in South Tampa, often accompanied with an American flag.

It pisses me off that those twats have co-opted the Gadsden flag. Gadsden was a member of the Continental Congress and a general in the Continental Army and they’ve turned that flag into a symbol of being a shit head.

Gonna assume he’s Republican, call me crazy…

It's complicated, actually. He hates Trump, for instance, even compares him with Hitler (in a negative way) and has offered a form of support for the Black Lives Matter protests. Not because he agrees with their goals, but because he sees the cops and the state as the biggest evil subjugating everyone else, so anyone standing up is a good thing.

He definitely thinks the Democrats are worse than the Republicans, and he started a group called People's Rights which is pro Republican.

He's a stares rights loon and apocalyptic cultist, so all chaos and division is good. He sees the constitution as a quasi religious document and he is a fundamentalist.
