The Fraizer Campbell Watch

Bollocks, why would they have dropped their best player from last season?

Because they signed two new, better, strikers.

Windass was up there as one of their best players too, look where he is now.

Phil Brown was desperate to get Fraizer back at Hull - as has been pointed out, it is unlikely he would have got both King and Cousin if they had managed to get Campbell

Anyway lets hope he makes the most of his chance tonight and then he might feature a bit more for Spurs

Windass was not as prolific as Campbell last season, and is now 39 - of course he needed replacing.
As somebody said, they signed Cousin on transfer deadline day when it became apparent they couldn't have Campbell. I think they would much rather have only had to get one new striker, however well things may be turning out for them in hindsight.

Campbell would obviously get more games at Hull. They play with two strikers for a start, and don't have 15 million pound strikers sitting on the bench.

I didn't say he wouldn't get more games, I said he wouldn't get lots of games there.

Marlon King and Campbell are the same type of striker, Windass and Campbell are completely different. It's why that partnership worked.

If you say so.

Who would have played in his place then? There's no way they would have gone for Cousin...

Caleb Folan, provides a good aerial threat which neither Campbell or King bring, along with better hold up play.

Geovanni, played in the hole behind one striker manys a time and would give them that extra body in midfield.

yet another pointless Brwned argument

Campbell starts for Spurs - upfront with Pavlychenko - good luck Fraizer !

unlike our game last night, this one is live on Sky (in UK) so should be plenty of streams on the internet plus BBC Text as mentioned

Campbell has had a couple of good passes. He's very quick

Fine, I accept that I'm quite clearly wrong here. I can admit to being wrong when I actually think I am.

Better?

:)

1-0 Spurs, Pavlyechenko. Campbell with a great assist.

Campbell with another quality through ball which set Pavlyechenko free on goal, he missed.

2-0 Spurs. FRAZIER SCORESS!!! Almost missed an open goal after a huge blunder by the liverpool keeper

Yes! The first player owned by United to score against liverpool this season.

Frazier's had a very good first half. 3-0 CAMPBELL! Quality header in the far corner

Its all good mate!
and even better now that our Fraizer has put in a top first half performance with 2 goals and an assist - lets get him back to Old Trafford, he is wasting his time at Spurs

Completely agree, and I am a fan of the lad.

I was one of the ones who was saying he could definitely make a good claim for being here in the long-term by staying here and providing back up this season, with or without Berbatov. I still think he could have done just that, he would've been under less pressure and would've flourished with our strikers since he's so different to all of them imo.

The scary thing is another "United" striker did exactly the same thing this weekend - an assist and two goals within a couple of minutes.

Delighted for Frazier. He's been sensational. Even before he set up the first goal he was doing really well. He was chasing every ball, turning bad passes into good passes.

Hope he gets a good run of games for the resurgent spurs and can then come home in jan or at the end of the season.

2 goals, one assists and MOM award.

Plus took the smile off Phil Thompson's face too!

was good but still raw. Easily the man of the match but would get pressed more playing for United so hopefully his general play can improve with games
