Can't see how a thrashing is possible. We're playing too well as a defensive unit to buckle and take a thrashing. If we concede early we could be in for a thrashing.
I still find it hard to this day to decide who was MOTM in that match.
Can't get over how amazing we were.
Giggs'll get my vote though, just because I'm a Giggs fanboy.

According to our television... O'Shea problary won't play because of his injury...
I was almost right...
I think Tevez and Rooney will come on after 60 mins though.

Us thrashing them is a little more possible but still pretty unlikely given the line-up we're puttting out.
Its going to be tight game.
I like this formation,it's all about containing them and unleashing Rooney and Tevez in the later stage of the game.A tactical battle as Mourino has his usual formation whereas SAF has surprised us with this
I'm a lot more confident about this match, don't see Inter as a big threat to us at all.
I think we'll do the best out of the four English teams.
Van der Sar, O'Shea, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Fletcher, Carrick, Giggs, Park, Berbatov, Ronaldo.
Subs: Foster, Rooney, Nani, Scholes, Fabio Da Silva, Gibson, Tevez.
Don't you just find it reassuring to repeat that vital piece of information though? I'm still bricking it like, being Manchester United or not. But we are. We Are, We Are Manchester United![]()
Inter are not as good as being said by some anyway.
Yes they are a good team, with good players just like everyone else in this stage of the tournament.
Don't think they are capable of giving a team like us a 'thrashing' though even with the problems at the back.
They lack the speed and fluidity to their game even at home. They are very strategic.
bench looks worrying if a defender can't last the game
devilsown said:rooney played the whole game last time out after his lay-off so am wondering if he shall play the whole game.
if fletch is not needed in defense then our midfield could look like -
ronaldo-fletch-carrick-giggs-park ; with berbatov up front
squeaky bum time
no rooney and no tevez![]()
Weren't we all expecting this? except for Rooney offcourse. If it get's too tight, he will be vital for us to provide energy from the 60th minute onwards. All in all i am more than happy with that line-up and can see us atleast getting a draw out of this if not a win.
But going off last season and this, our strength probably is playing this sort of game.
Fairplay.
Fletcher, Carrick, and Giggs were all amazing. Smith and Rooney were excellent too. So was the defence. Thats the whole team.
Our strength is to attack we have added a lot of defensive steel over the last two years but we still play better when attacking teams. I think we are going to miss Vidic badly tonight if we play cagy as he clears alot of ball out of the box with his heading ability. It would be much better to really go for it but it looks like we are trying to keep the tie alive and finish it as OT from the lineup. I had a feeling Rooney wouldn't play but I thought Tevez would be in. On the bright side Giggs is in wonderfuly form and in a free role could really show something tonight. Ferguson is normally proved right so I am not going to question the team selection too much.
Theses 3 wise monkeys on RTE are cracking me up.
Exactly, imagine a performance like that today.
Magical.

Not very likley that night we were at old trafford and had to go for it, with us being behind in the tie. I expect a match like the one vs Lyon last year tonight, very tight and hopefully we can nick something.
I suggest you to get a ITV stream somewhere
