Welbeck's 6'2" I think, and the management reckon he'll reach 6'3". Macheda is obviously more solid and physically mature (despite being a year younger), but Welbeck has a bit of a height advantage.
It will be interesting to see just how big Welbeck gets once he reached 23 or so. Will he stay with his Kanu-like lanky build, or will he pile on the pounds and become a physical power-house?

You know the last time we played a bunch of kids against a Turkish team in a meaningless Champions' League we won 4-0 and saw a certain David Beckham get his first European start...
If we want to see any new Giggs, Scholes, Beckhams etc. we have to give them first team experience and we won't get many better chances. And no, it's not enough to just play them in Carling Cup games 2 or 3 times a season.
