It is looking likely that there has been a falling out, of sorts, but why that should automatically mean that he is leaving the club is unclear?

If it was simply an argument and Anderson decided to storm off in a huff, I'd be really disappointed if either Anderson or Sir Alex decided that it merited more than a fine and a cooling off period. Having said that, as we don't know what has happened, if anything, it's hard to say. And, of course, we all know that Sir Alex doesn't accept indiscipline, but Anderson is still a very young player, and I'd be disappointed if he wasn't given a second chance, depending on what has happened.

It's good to see that he is actually in the squad, because he needs to be challenged to win a place in Brazil's world cup squad and to become an integral part of the United first team. And you never know, things like this can play a small part in the making of a player.
 
So nothing about Anderson from Fergie at today's press conference, I take it?

wheres the logic in letting go of a midfielder for a keeper in the middle of the season? bizarre to say the least how these papers manufacture stories

Nothing quoted in your post could be counted as evidence just glorified tittle-tattle and hearsay.

And Its still not 4 though is it, and certainly not close enough to 4 for any rationaly minded person to be making the kind of fuss you've been making over this non-story.

I'm simply pointing out that people who think there's absolutely nothing out of the ordinary in the chain of events described above are kidding themselves, deliberately or otherwise. Which they are.

This could all be explained away if it came out that he was injured, or that SAF had given his blessing for him to have a few days off and/or a trip home for personal reasons (which he's admitted to doing in the past for Ronaldo and Tevez)

In the absence of any such explanation it's hardly "making a fuss" to point out that the events of the last fews days and the curious absence of Anderson from the last two match-day squads is a bit odd.

This. Unless there's an irrefutable quote from a member of SAF's staff I won't worry about him leaving. SAF has proved time and again that he's patient about developing his younger players as long as they show they can handle the pressure at OT.

People who think that there is nothing in the chain of events over the last couple of days are not kidding themselves they are simply being rational. Nobody knows whether Anderson is injured or not, what we do know is that his form of late has been pretty poor.

Cast you mind back to the beginning of this season where Nani's form was similarly sub-standard and after a period of time he was actually taken out of the squad all together for most games during a 5-6 game period. Most people assumed this was punishment for speaking out of term in the press against SAF and perhaps that had a little to do with it.

What we do know however is that now that Nani has been restored to the first team he looks(admittedly for only 2 games) like a completely different player.

Do you think it might be possible that during his time out of the team the coaching staff may have been working quite intensively to iron out some of the glaring flaws in his game?

Do you also think it might be possible that if this is what they were doing, then having seen good results with Nani over the last two games they may have though it would be a good idea for Anderson on current form to disappear from first team action for a while whilst the similarly restructure his game?

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying this is the truth but at the end of the day there could be plenty of reasons why we have not seen Anderson for the last couple of games, none of them need to be sinister. Which is why you mentioning a half baked theory about this possible non-story in 2 different threads as if it were fact is making a fuss out of what is most likely nothing.

Nothing beats the early edition of the Mirror I have from the day Princess Dianna died...

Front page is all black with full page "Dianna Dead" headline, followed by about 10 pages of arse-licking tributes.

But get to about page 12 onwards, and the editors clearly hadn't had time to check it all - 2 separate columnists completely slagging her off, including one that calls her, rather brilliantly, "Brain Dead".
 
I reckon he'd do great in Italy. His tenaciousness would be rewarded and he'd have time on the ball to pick out his Hollywood passes.
 
There are some reports in France saying that Anderson might be signing for Lyon and that the deal might possibly include Lloris.It was already hard to believe but when they use "The Sun" as a source there is nothing else to say

Well he may have gone to Brazil but it could have been with the clubs blessing
 
If was in Brasil then I think the club (boss) would have mentioned it to prevent the distraction. Much like he did when Teveth was allowed to go back for a bit.

Whatever the case - it looks like for now he is going to be here. A great performance by him on Sunday would be go a long way, especially if he shits over GrassyFab
 
My buddy just told me he's potentially in the squad for the weekend? Anyone here see anything on it?
 
Hibbs posted earlier in the day on his twitter "Anderson is in the squad for Sunday. Didn't answer question about why he's not been included recently. But he could play Sunday"

And that's him training today so I'd say it's more then possible he'll be in the squad.

Manchester United are understood to have been receptive to an approach from Lyons to take Anderson on loan though his weekly wage of over £50,000 is an obstacle and the deal is unlikely to go through.

There had been some hope from the Le Ligue side that United would be prepared to subsidise some of the 21-year-old's wages to enable them to find the kind of defensive midfielder they badly need, but discussions broke down. United's willingness to release the player reflects an acceptance that he is not going to be the replacement for Paul Scholes many imagined when he was signed from Porto for a fee believed to be around £18m. Despite a particularly fine display at Anfield in December 2007, which prompted high praise from Sir Alex Ferguson, he has featured only 54 times in two-and-a-half years.

Anderson has not featured in Ferguson's squads for the past two matches, prompting speculation about his future which the manager was not willing to discuss yesterday. "Anderson will be in the squad for Arsenal," he said. On his absence from squads he said: "It doesn't matter about that."

Ferguson's uncompromising tone made it clear he would not tolerate questions on suggestions Anderson has skipped training this week.
