Will be a very tricky tie as always. But I think we have enough to knick it 1-0.
4 pm is latewtf we are playing in late kick-off again.
VDS
Rafael, Vidic, Evans, Evra
Nani, Fletcher, Carrick, Giggs
Berbatov, Rooney
Subs: Valencia, Scholes, Smalling, O'Shea, TK, Chica, Owen.
Dropping Tony V. because of a poor performance. Came back strong but, just back to playing full games so a break might be good.
Scholes won't play every week - he needs to be managed and Carrick/Fletcher certainly can stack up against Fulham's mids.
But its only another 2 matches in the league before a 2 week break for internationals. In this sort of form we'd be mad to rest him imo when the seasons only started
This.I'd play Rafael at RB.
Why are so many people dropping Valencia?![]()

I hate to see park and rafael start on the right hand side especially away from home.

For me he he has just come after a very long lay off and in his first 2 games back was excellent but, perhaps the NC was a sign of him not being 100% back. The players that would be in his stead aren't exactly poor - for me it is Nani right and Giggs left - for others it's Park on the right with Nani starting on the left. It won't be a big drop off - might even be an improvement.

Scholes will be rested. I will be surprised if he plays. OOh, the hand ball incident comes to mind at fulham all of a sudden. lol
I think Owen will be an early sub for this. Quite alot of players need some playing time and they will be biting their teeth to get going. We lost the last match and this time round it will be a different story. We will thump them.
Will be a hard game as ever. Newcastle at home wasnt really a test and allthough we were great as the game went on we were a bit sloppy at the start and gave the ball away easy at times. In fact thats normal at this time of the year. The thing is that Fulham would punish us for such errors. All in all i am positive that we can do them. In contrast to last year we even have a back four consisting of defenders.
I really have to say O Shea was the one player that made the most unforced mistakes against Newcastle and allthough i normally like him he would be the only one i would give a rest and bring Rafael on instead.
He had 5 missed passes out of 56 including 1 clearance into touch, in comparison to Nani's 16 out of 42, which included an unnessary step over in his own penalty area. Nani made a lot more tackles though albeit most of them unsucessful.

What has Nani got to do with Oshea's performance against Newcastle?
Because the person he was quoting said that O'Shea made the most unforced errors so he was pointing out Nani made more.

we're yet to win there
Always a tricky game, I got my 3-0 prediction right with Newcastle bar the Hernandez scoring late bit.....otherwise I think 2-0 because we're yet to win there and I just think Fergie will be desperate to win this one and keep the momentum going. I think we can do it but just about. I expect quite a few changes and a 4-5-1.
Same team as the one that beat Newcastle for me.
