Anderson

Agree. I don't see Anderson being good enough to play in that role.

It could be something he develops into once he shows a much greater level of movement, passing consistancy and killer instinct in the final third whilst playing either on the wing or in central midfield.

But until then it wouldn't look to be on the cards as a regular thing. We have multiple players who have the qualities to do a better job there.

Could Anderson be the biggest benefactor from Valencia's injury? I'd certainly like to see him given a few games operating from the left hand side of midfield. Not playing as a traditional winger but similar to how Park plays it for us, coming infield to get involved in the build up.

Anderson would generally struggle to get games for us in a 442 so maybe this will be really good for him.

Its worth a try. On paper at least it makes alot of sense.

On the bench lets hope he comes off it today.. Would be nice to see him back in 1st team action!

The only way I can really see him coming on is if we are up by a couple of goals. But could be wrong though, I didn't guess any of Fergie's subs on Tuesday.

Good to see him back, lets hope he can come into some decent form.

Great option. We need him available so we aren't so reliant on Scholes, especially in a 442.

Loved him taking out whoever it was he took out. Need him in the middle, hopefully will play against Scunthorpe and start getting him into league game starts.

AAAAAAAANNNNNNNNDDDDDEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOONNNNNN

is back

He is fat. Well so am I but I don't get paid for my physical abilities. Sort it out son.

Great to see him back. Now go on fulfill that immense potential Ando!

I thought we'd established Daniel Taylor hated United and only ever wrote shit-stirring lies?
I reckon this is part of Machiavellian plan to unsettle Carrick by bigging up Anderson

Obviously this is actually good news, here's hoping Anderson can do what Nani did last season and find that consistency that's eluded him

You're doing white text wrong.

Mmm, so Ando has pulled his finger out? Excellent news. He can add a completely new dimension to our midfield if he fulfils his promise.

Im never sure whether this insider stuff is legit or not.

But if so, then that's great news. Anderson has the potential to take his Man Utd career anywhere. He's made mistakes and that's to be expected for someone of his age. But he's reaching the stage where we need him to step up and prove why we have so much faith in him. Our midfield is crying out for someone young, hungry and talented enough to be a regular in this newest generation. I believe in him and he's always had the fans on his side. Now show us what you've got.

It really is great to see him back, even if it's just for the Anderson chant. Got a good airing on Sunday.

In all seriousness though he's a hugely talented player and if Fergie can get the best out of him then that's one of our midfield problems solved.

Looked good. Still want him to express himself more, use his pace more, and want the ball more. Yes I'm demanding!

He got a lot better as the game went on, crap first half which I guess shows he's in good shape

Scunthorpe barely sat back even at 5-1 so he had plenty of room to operate but it turned out a good performance, eventually

Played the hollywood ball too often today for my liking, but overall he was good.

Looked understandably rusty at the start, but improved as the game went on. Glad he's back.

This.

Thought he had a good game, the lack of width in the first half really limited the influence i thought he could have on the game because everything had to go through the middle but as the game went on he adapted well. Played the hollywood balls but 2 were pretty spot on and i for one encourage that sort of pass because bar Scholes no one else in our midfield plays that sort of pass.

Terrible first half. Much improved in the second.

Needs to lose a few kilos.

I thought he had a good game, gradually imposed himself on the midfield as the game progressed.

He's been out for quite a while & it will take time for him to get back the form he was showing before his injury. Could be a fine understudy for Scholes this season. Certainly better than 'shoot if I'm within 40 yds of goal' Gibson.

I think that's a bit harsh, he looked one of our fitter players. I thought he had a very good game

Agreed. There was no sign of him hitting the wall after an hour, as we've seen in the past. Kept running right until the end.

His fitness has been one of the big positives for me since his return to action. Passing has been a bit off in his outings for the reserves but seemed to be finding his range last night. Absolute peach of a pass with his right foot at one point.
