West Ham United's clash with Manchester United remains scheduled for this evening, despite the inclement weather conditions.
According to the club, the Carling Cup quarter final clash remains on despite worsening weather conditions that have seen the South East of England coated with a layer of snow overnight.
Ticket office staff were briefed at 9am this morning to inform supporters that the game is set to go ahead as scheduled, although that is still subject to change throughout the day.
The most recent first team fixture to be postponed as a result of adverse weather conditions was last January's Premier League clash with Wolves.
That particular fixture was cancelled due to 'health and safety concerns', despite the streets around the Boleyn Ground being almost entirely free of snow by the time the game was due to start.
Will the final decision on this not be made by the police. They will decide on public saftey in regards roads/paths/trains ect rather than West Ham.
