Arsenal vs. Manchester United

What are the odds that the ref will be at the centre of the game yet again in a big game?

feck all this nonsense of resting people.

Play the lot every game until the end of the season.

Indeed, but if Ferguson is going to rest a player, then he should at least do it properly! Resting Giggs away to Arsenal? It's plain wrong. Giggs should've been played today then rested against Schalke where the tie is practically done and dusted.

Hopefully it's the same team as it was against Schalke anyway, but Anderson for Giggs

Not really. We've always gone with legs in midfield against Arsenal in recent years and its worked. Giggs and Scholes aren't really suited for that approach anymore. Especially away from home.

btw wasn't Foy the ref in the 2009 community shield? i think he made some big calls going in the Chavs favour.

I think that was the one where Ballack flattened Evra, and play should have been stopped by Foy, with us being awarded a freekick.

Chelsea played on while Evra lay on the ground, and seconds later Lampard had put the ball into the net. But we equalised and lost the match on penalties, but yes another dodgy decision for Chelsea.

Our recent record with Foy as ref:

No chance Giggs will play. He will be fully rested a week till next home game against Schalke I think, or maybe even for the home game against Chelsea.

I'd expect Nani & Anderson to come back in, with Carrick also playing. Park got a rest today which shows he's going to feature on Sunday, alongside the pea.

VDS

Fabio Rio Vidic Evra

Nani Carrick Anderson Park

Rooney

Pea

I think that will be the side

Still going with this prediction

Arsen W: "The team has accumulated a lot of experience despite their age. They are 23 on average now, but football-wise are 26 or 27. I gave them a chance to play at a young age and I don't regret it.

Haven't they been on this 23 y.o average age for quite a few years now? Reminds me of some mature woman who has been claiming to be 39 y.o for the past 5-8 yrs.
