I actually remember that one - I think they're complaining about a penalty being awarded against us after the usual sort of corner kick (?) push/pull game and they were actually all in the vicinity at the time.

Change needs to come from the top. Fifa have simply got to enforce retroactive punishment for this kind of cheating. There is no hiding place on the pitch these days with so many cameras. We can all see what's happening yet the culprits are allowed to get away with it. It's time for the authorities to make an example of those players.
They will soon learn to clean up their act otherwise they won't be playing many games.
They might be have played a huge role in that horrible semi and this levels the playing field regarding the officiating for the final, and casts some sort of shadow over them with regards to that. That could only be good if we make the final because the referee is less likely to give in to their antics.

If I was a United player and I'd watched that "performance" put on by Barca the other night it would have fired me up like nothing else.

The worst I've seen us surrounding the ref was the time the players chased D'Urso, that was shameful scenes.
But, we havent been anywhere near that since. Sure, we've argued with officials but we haven't seen those types of scenes since with us. Barca are definitely the worst for it, even their keeper runs out and contests every decision countless times during a match.

The D'Urso incident was never a penalty so was completely justified
That was disgusting, but at the same time it was weak refereeing, I think we can quite safely assume that if the ref continually backed away from the Barca players like that they would follow him.
Doesn't excuse it, I guess that was our breaking point when too much became too much, Guardiola should recgonise that about his Barca team now and put an end to it

yea Messi is totally innocentWhen you have more than one of the players doing it then it raises suspicion that it's a pre-planned tactic to get the opposition sent off or carded. Then we're left with the question of who pre-planned it. Was it the players or was it management?
Barca and Guardiola need to stamp it out now because if they don't it's inevitable that suspicion will fall on them as the instigators of this play-acting charade from the players.

I think if you asked most football fans they wouldn't think of Barca as a "disgusting" football team. This thread just reeks of jealousy to be honest. We play our brand of football and obviously we don't get the acclaim we deserve but lets not pretend that Barca are anything less than a wonderful club.
If I was Chief I would probably come back to this thread in a couple of days with a completed list to shove down your throat. Unfortunately I don't have that much time on my hands.There is so much to admire about Barcelona, their commitment to youth, the football they play, etc.

I'll tell you what I dislike. I don't like when people need to attach reasons such as this to someone else not agreeing with them. The whole 'He doesn't agree with me, he must be jealous/a fanboi/ retarded' theory is a sad one, because it's one of a person who can't take others simply disagreeing with them. And that's tough on the person because in life you get a variety of opinions so you better be ready for alternate opinions.
I think some people are jealous that Barca are lauded almost universally by the press for their style of football and youth development. Whereas utd have much to boast about in both of those areas but get little praise or acclaim from the press.

As I've said before this was one game against their fiercest rivals, of course it got dirty. In general when I watch Barca games any play acting or cheating is massively overshadowed by their scintillating football.
