Anderson

Yes scholes and fletcher have been fantastically consistent this season!! Carrick has played well towards the back end of the season and giggs has stepped up when needed.

Your suggestion that scholes or fletcher have been more consistent this season is the only one that is 'ridiculous'

They've been as consistent as Anderson, he's not put in any half decent performances away from home at all.

I won't argue this further, you're blinded if you think he's the best midfielder we have, after an excellent performance against a shit team.

Don't suppose you saw him at Arsenal last weekend?

It was and it wasnt Anderson's best performance (only goal wise). His passing wasnt amazing, we have seen better. But still, two goals, a good performance, I'm happy :)

Agreed, and I am happy with Anderson's performance too, but it was not as spectacular as many are claiming.

Carrick and Giggs have been more consistent than him this season, Fletcher has been largely shit and Scholes started off brilliantly but has gone quiet.

I think the point Cina was trying to make is that all of the players you've listed have put in consistent performances over the course of a season, something which Anderson is yet to achieve. It's way too soon to call him our best midfielder.

 He was so eager for that hattrick.
He was sprinting forward at every opportunity. Yet still passed the ball at all the right times in the final third when he could easily have been selfish.

Absolutely! He was class tonight and on occasion, even showed some real pace!

What a performance.

Giggs has had some terrific performances this season without question, consistent I think not. Yes I am a big carrick fan but can't do what Anderson does, run with the ball and add strength/steel to the midfield.

I think all in all he is our best central midfielder with fantastic prospects for the future.

Play him regular and the away form will come.

He also did well in the reserves games right before he came back in terms of scoring/shooting. In one he scored twice and in another he had a couple of great attempts like the first one today on goal - only to be thwarted by some brilliant saves.

As long as he keeps playing more games on the trot, he'll do better and better

Can we put to bed this shite about Anderson being fat yet? He had his shirt off at the end of the game and there was feck all on him.

He's just a brick shithouse.

He looks like a overjoyed baby on the body of a six foot monster.

How can you not love him.

 Still can't believe how much he ran today in search for his hat trick. Just goes to show with abit of motivation and confidence, he could and should be doing alot more for the first team on a regular basis.

 i love Anderson!!! i still can't believe he scored a brace!! and i was there to witness that historical moment!!!

Another great contribution to a thread from you john... you are really one if not the shittest poster on here.

I laughed at a laughable post. What is wrong with that?

I already posted my view on Anderson's performance earlier tonight.

It's not fair that I am given such a hard time because Anderson is not my favourite player.

I post my opinions on his performances. Maybe they are sometimes harsh, but I feel it helps to balance truly ridiculous posts like the one I laughed at which claimed Anderson is our best midfielder.

How can a man be so turd 3 days ago against Arsenal and then play with such energy for the full 90 minutes and put in a performance like that?

Good stuff tonight though. Grew into the game which is rare from him, he usually fizzles out. Probably playing on adrenaline after doubling his club tally

Complete transformation from Sunday, he needs consistency is all.

He also needs room and for us to be on the ball the majority of the game, which is why he excels at home.
For all his great big game performances in his first season, he's not really that great when the opponents are on the ball and his style when we're on the ball requires time on the ball as well as space for him to run in or to pass behind for someone like Hernandez to run into.

This is also why I wouldn't want to see him start against Barca, again, I doubt he'd be much better than against Arse.

Andersons celebration was the same as the one Messi did at the beggining of the season. Like a pat the stomach and point whilst laughing. If someone can find the youtube clips.
