Are you joking? He was blowing out his arsehole
This "fitness" shit has to end. What in today's game make you bring it up? Did he look tired before he got subbed? No.

Good lord, he asked to come off because he was absolutely wrecked.
I see a lot of comments about how his fitness isn't up to scratch, but Yaya Toure is always blowing out of his arse after 70/80 minutes too. It's the nature of players who play in such explosive bursts.
I think we saw the real Anderson yesterday. In an advanced midfield role, driving us forward and being creative.
He's doing all he can - making a difference every time he gets a game. Can't be far from the PL starting 11 now.
You don't deserve to watch football. Clueless.
Same in the Powell thread too.
He was immense yesterday. The amount of times he ran with the ball through the midfield past Mikel was just brilliant. Was very good in pressing the Chelsea players and pressuring them into poor passes.
still a good young player, SAF has kept him in the squad cause he still believes he can do a job for us and I think he can too.
Anderson 60mins Scholes 30mins simple. Pity he cant manage more. At 24 you'd expect better from him in terms of his lungs. Otherwise a really enjoyable performance...
Such a shame that fitness is the problem.
After such performance, you would expect him to start on Saturday, but he's going to sit on the bench, because he can't even play one full game and still needs a rest.
He did more than 60 yesterday.
And give him a break, the lad gets injured every season and never really gets chance to fully build up his fitness. And, as someone above mentioned, one of the best midfielders in the World who plays in similar bursts has the same issue aged 29!
He was tremendous last night.
My problem is that he never even looks fit. He's clearly overweight, which given he's paid however many tens of thousands of pounds a week to play football is simply unnaceptable.
I understand he's had injury problems, but that doesn't excuse it. They have the facilities to stay trim, as well as access to the best nutrition. Only have to look at photos from previous seasons to see the difference. Fact is, when you're unfit its much easier to get injured, even little niggles become problematic.
He wasn't a liability in last night's scenario. He gave us a shot at winning the match. I don't mind a "liability" like that.
And everyone is ignoring Feed Me's point about players like him and Toure. Anderson the guy pressing high up the pitch and giving Chelsea players no space (resulting in the first goal) and he was the one making driving runs at the Chelsea defence at every opportunity.
So a central midfielder who tires v badly in the last 30mins isnt a liability? Cmon the fook! Just because Toure does it too doesnt make it ok either....
very strange logic. The position he plays in encompasses a lot more than pressing and driving runs....Sure if that was the case Tunnicliffe is great at both of them ! Sorted!
He might doesnt look as fit as Ronaldo but none of us really knows anything about his fitness unless you work for United med department
