Barcelona - a lot of moaning about them and some praise

Hang on, this is NOT about them being the best. This is about their disgusting antics on the football pitch, don't look beyond that.

So why isn't there a thread about Madrid? They were just as bad if not worse. Conspiracy? Hounding the ref? Going out with the soul intention to kick people then moaning about a red card?

It's a backlash based around the "more than a club" bull shit and all the rest of it. I've never known any team to be saintly yet i don't remember Barcelona acting so rediculously when they were defeated by Inter whilst Madrid have been above and beyond it.

The trends in football always make me laugh, Barca are now a hate figure because of their popularity. Nothing more nothing less. Spain national team will be hated too no doubt.

All the bull shit about clubs is just that, bull shit. There are laws in football but referees are too weak to do the job properly, these antics can be stopped by any side but not if refs are constantly intimidated by big teams, big players and hugely egotistical managers.

Because most of us hate Madrid already (https://www.redcafe.net/f7/lets-all-laugh-madrid-327800/ & https://www.redcafe.net/f7/hate-real-madrid-310858/ etc), and a lot of posters in this thread were fans of Barca before they started seeing the nasty side of them. This thread came about when the whole world got a chance to see them at their despicable worst.

Oh, and Madrid certainly weren't fecking worse, are you kidding me?

And your Inter comment, fecking short memory eh?

The rest of your post is drivel, trying to play the "I'm above hating on a rival" card. The thread started because of them acting like a bunch of fecking cnuts, not because they are a great team.

Barca fanboys jump up to defend them.

fecking embarrassing isn't it? I mean, were they not utter utter cnuts in the 2 semis, was Busquests not a cnut last season vs. Inter and in pretty much every game he plays? Why has "hard man" Mascherano now turned into a guy that jumps to the fall holding his face when tapped on the shoulder.

But yeah yeah, it's jealously

i'm not defending them, just pointing out the hypocrisy of it all.

When you have Real Madrid V Barcelona 4 times in 3 weeks is it any wonder that things get out of hand? they are bitter rivals, i expected nothing less. How naive are we if we expect these two sides to play out great football without incident in every occasion they play.

everyone knows Busquets is a cnut, Alves is a sly bastard and now Pedro has been shown to be a bit of a wee idiot as well. Ronaldo is a puff ball, and every single madrid player had clear instructions to kick anything that moved as long as it wasnt the ball.

What about Mourinho? he helped things....

That's all well and good, but this is about Barcelona. Go and start a new thread if you want to bang on about Real.

That's more like it FV. And that's what this thread is all about.

They are a cracking cracking football team, but the hate in this thread has nothing to do with that, it's to do with them having a lot of complete cnuts in their ranks and how they obviously instruct their players to act that way.

Mourinho is being slagged off by plenty of people in his own thread.

No idea.

Never before have I seen a so punchable face!

I've

I take it you never watched Argentina or Liverpool? Mascherano has always been that type of player. Nothing to do with Barcelona and anyone saying otherwise is a bald faced liar.

Hard man? He was always a cheating little scrote who made the most of challenges when it suited him.

It's the extremes of opinions about Barca that come across as over the top and bitter. Yes, Busquets is an abominable cheat and yes, Mascherano hasn't a likable bone in his body but it's a bit of a stretch to decide that the whole team are as loathsome as most of ye make out. Pique's an ex-United played, plays the game in the right spirit and seems like a good lad. Abidal always seems like an absolute gent. Messi is Messi, hard not to like.

It is strange the way Barca evoke such strong emotions when there are lots of dislikable teams/players out there.

Van Bommel is one of the most despicable thugs playing the game today. Someone who actually got a Manchester United player sent off in a major CL game. Where were all the threads calling Bayern a "disgusting football team!?

What does it matter?

I hate Busquets more than any other player. Why haven't UEFA jumped on him for calling Marcello a monkey?

Eh because he probably didn't?

I called Gareth Bale a monkey, are UEFA going to jump on me?

Marcelo is a wee fud as well. I don't see why Busquets would be racist though with Alves, Keita, Abidal etc etc it seems a bit naive.

Like Naymar and Lucus and co accusing scotland fans of racism when it was utter bull. Players are drama queens. Madrid make every accusation in the book, racism, cheating, play acting, bribary, favouritism, UEFA backing. Refs not allowing them to lose.

If you believe everything you read/hear from oppositions/rivals you're very naive.

Yes, but the face holding is a new one he's developed since joining Barca.

All these likeable lads though, they bully referees don't they? I'm sure you can find plenty of threads here with reds who were totally ashamed of us when we did it.

I asked this earlier but give me another current team that acts like this:

and obviously a team in the spotlight (unlike Munich) is going to be more of a talking point.

Van Bommel is one of the most despicable thugs playing the game today. Someone who actually got a Manchester United player sent off in a major CL game. Where were all the threads calling Bayern a "disgusting football team!?

A lot of people called out Ribery, Bummel and his mates after that event Pogue.

Err...there is a clear video evidence showing that Busquets calling Marcelo a Monkey.

And why would UEFA jump on you? wtf? strangest comment ever.

i havent seen it.

as for sharky7, your biterness is plain for all to see. Get over it, to claim Barcelona have changed Mascherano is a claim so rediculous i don't even know where to begin.

Ok, show me a vid of him doing it before he joined? It's a bit odd that I never saw it at Liverpool and yet it's now a common occurrence in a team that has a few famous face holders.

Weird that you haven't seen that vid, I mean it's just above your post

I'm not bitter at all, as I said, they're a cracking team, but they act like cnuts. If your best argument is that "my bitterness is plain for all to see" then well.... I don't even know where to begin.

You agreed yourself that they act like cnuts so I don't really get where you're going with this, it's pretty obvious that you just wanna look the big man who is above criticising other teams and enjoys trying to belittle his fellow supporters by claiming that calling a team with a good few cnuts in it, "cnuts" is something actually more sinister

Of course you haven't, you'd probably find an excuse for it anyway. It's pretty clear to every who doesn't have their head up Pep's arse that Barcelona have a gamesmanship policy on the go, either that or they do absolutely feck all to discourage it.

Wake up.

I think it's something that plagues Spanish football in general based off all the years I've watched it.

The diving by Barca were also very prevalent under Rijkaard, it's an almost convention for these clubs.

I doubt Pep goes out in the training field to tell his players to dive because he doesn't have to. It unfolds anyway.

Watch the derby this weekend and I'm sure Espanyol would be diving even more than Barca especially if Garcia plays.

If Barcelona are a disgusting football club based off their antics so are the other 19 in laliga.

It's early, but anyway where did i say they don't? I just dont see them as worse than anyone else on the whole. Sure in a game against their biggest rivals where emotions run high and their opposition are attempting to destroy the game and bully them then things get worse than usual and it's sad to see.

Football is too important to these teams for it to be any other way. I've seen almost every United player take a dive at one point, i've seen Chelsea do much worse when it comes to surrounding refs. It's football, you still love it.

Yeah i'm sure it's code one when joining Barcelona, "first things first, forget football. Do you know how to hold your face?" :wenger:

get a grip.

Nope, but I'm sure his teammates and their antics rub off on him.

As if I was suggesting anything like what you posted, get a grip! :wenger:

One thing is for sure, they don't discourage it. At United it would get stamped out, rioferdy5 agrees :D

United are saints of course

SAF doesnt stand for many things but i dont think for a second he'd give two fecks if one of his players baught a free kick, went down easy for a pen or anything else. It's about winning and the football culture is so different in spain compared to england that to compare it is foolish and naive.

Nobody's debating that others don't do it, something which you're holding onto. You're stupid if you can't realise that Barcelona are much, much wrose than everyone else though and have a tendancy to get away with it in very high profile games.
It's made all the worse considering their prominent position, supposedly at the top of world club football. They also take absolutely no responsibility for their actions, Pep never apologises for the disgraceful stuff which often occurs in their games, niether do the players. Instead they whine about other teams tactics, whilst pushing the 'playing football on another plane' bullshit.

But he can definitely tell them to stop the fact that they have not means he condones the actions. Don't be fooled by his warm and relaxed and humble personality he is as competitive and machevelian as they come.

Do you watch Laliga matches?

Serie A?

How can you honestly back this claim?

It doesn't mean anything to me.

I'll always remember what a massive cheat he was.

He's a class act. I agree he could do without the excessive rolling around, the incidents of face holding and all that but i guess you just have to accept it for what it is.

A fantastic player with some bad traits. Pretty much like any player but his bad traits are in the eyes of british fans well and above the worst.

United are saints of course

So you really think SAF would stand that kind of constant play-acting? hang your head in shame pal.

Nope I never said United were saint, where are you getting this shit from. Could you argue with your own mirror? You agree that many of them act like complete cnuts and yet you're still arguing? weird

No I agree he let's it go.

No complaints.

Look at how he was holding his face when Ronaldo pushed him in November.

Like I said it's a disease in Spanish football.

personally i dont care about people thinking barca are cnuts but to put them out on their own is so far fetched it's in the relm of Tolkien.

Nobody remember Milan V Spurs at the san siro? horrible match, both teams were cnuts. I blamed the ref but still, cnut city.
