Benzema is a good player, but signing him is as realistic as me and RICTR getting on.

Well Villa has proved to be a very good finisher and hes looking to leave Sevila as we all know the only problem with this is how much would Sevila ask. And the small matter of pretty much every decent club in the world after him.

Another option (and possibly better option) would be to see how manucho does, he did well in the ACoN and impressed me at Panithioakos. If he is granted his work permit i can see SAF sticking with Rooney, Tevez and Manucho. Even if Saha is sold because look at what we achieved with pretty much just Roon and Tev and now with the new 7 sub rule we could see abit of this Davide Petrucci.....or even Dong
Another thing to look out for is that we havnt officialy signed Tevez yet, it wouldnt surprise me if the £20m for Tevez turns out to be the most we will spend on a player this window

First Villa is at Valencia not Sevilla and his price must be too high after the tournament. Another point is Valencia is not trying to cash on him and it was only bollocks.
About Klose he is a Bayern Munich player and arrived just last season so any intend of taking him away from them is stupid and more cause Klinsmann is their new manager, another thing is he wouldnt cost cheap as he is the first choice german striker.
We rather bid for Berbatov cause Benzema looks unlikely to happen and at 27 he still has a lot to offer in the highest level, also has experience and is pretty tall which is what we are looking for in a striker. we wont be spending more than 25 m as a final offer so there are no much choices for us.

Berbatov isn't a risk, he has proven he can cut it in the Premiership, and striker generally hit their peak at around 27/28/29, so we could be getting him at the right time. The money for Tevez is still set aside from last year.
The Manucho risk is that he is unproven and nobody on here has seen him play enough or at a high enough level to make a valid judgement in my opinion, no matter how much they pretend. Berbatov is a proven premiership and European striker so yes it would be better.... clearly.
But £20 odd million? I just dont think hes worth it £15m at the most but even thats pushing it IMO

Who knows im not really into predicting fees but if Fergie wants him he will get him, even if he has to pay a bit over the odds. It is about who fits into the team and will give us more options not who will be the best value. We are the double champions and need to try and have a sustained period of winning in Europe unlike the last time we won it, we cant rely on Manucho to help with that.

Berbabtov is a great striker and playmaker but he wouldnt be my first choice. The potential fee being touted for him is excessively high and that would be a big problem at his age.

We did buy Carrick for £17/18m from the same club. Berbatov's ability would then make him around £10m more expensive don't you think? I rate Carrick highly and I know he more than paid off the money with us winning the league and the double two years in a row but I'm sure Berbatov would do the same. Money shouldn't matter too much. If Berbatov wants to come then I think we should stop at nothing to get him.

if its going to take 25 million for berbatov, we might as well as entice jose with 30 for ibrahimovic. buying berbatov only makes sense if zlatan is double the price or jose refuses to sell at 30.
There is not a massive age difference between them and i actually think Berbatov is the better player - tried and tested by English defences. Ibrahimovic would have to adapt, not always an easy process for a striker. Berbatov has already shown us what he is capable of, in terms of immediate impact he would surely be the most suitable player. Then who knows how much he would improve with better players around him.

I think its pretty much a done deal IMO..You guys should start trying to work out your best formation and starting 11 for next season.
