Considering we have lost 1 game that Gibson started for United (Fulham away) - that is a fairly strange comment to make
I swear I'd not seen the team, just remember SAF saying last season that when players return to training, they take two weeks to get upto speed before they are ready.

Note how we played a very strong squad in the semis and the final.
That team would not win a local derby at an improving Bolton side. I'd be shocked if it did.

Bolton had a blip last weekend I think. I think that team could shock you, and remember there are a lot of impact subs, obviously Fergie's done a bit of man-management, but if he's picking Gibson you can bet there's a tactical reason for it.
I look at that midfield, I see Rafael/Evra very attacking fullbacks, we might see Carrick and/or Gibson covering these players.
Good to see Da Laet is back from his injury. Come on United.

Maybe because :
a) People are different - some deal with this better than others
b) he is a defender - he can sit back during games if needed - whereas midfielders are required to work hard 100 % of the time
c) he is less injury-prone than others
Nice to see Macheda on the bench.
lets hope Fergie isn't tinkering again...
Hopefully we'll see Berbatov actually getting into the box this time.

Maybe not, but the same applies for Evans who's not played for a good while but he's still picked when Rio's played about 10 games all season.

I don't really see why that is much of a negative? Him and Vidic were excellent together last season.
And Also with Fletcher and Giggs, and even Scholes supporting him, it is a huge difference to Gibson and Carrick (Wolves).

Let's hope it's high tempo from the off, with plenty of urgency to win the game as quickly as possible, that's the best way to play these games in my opinion

Think Rio and Rooney might be rested by precaution, Ben's got it wrong here. You could see this team become an orthodox 4-4-2 with Giggs supporting Berbatov. Think we'll see Rafael against Bayern now.
The day so far could be any worse but Im confident we will win this.

Evans is more experienced and an established first team player now though, whereas Fabio has yet to have a consistent run in the side to prove himself.
