Wasn't the Arsenal game supposed to be the turning point for De Gea? I can't believe for a second he'll be dropped for tomorrow, not least because Bolton aren't the physical team they once were.
De Gea will start.
This is why SAF is SAF and these journos are, well, journos.
Pre-season games also come with a lot less pressure. Dropping a young keeper who was bought as VDS's successor is not the best thing to do right now. He has been solid enough in his position, he just needs time to fully adjust to the Premier League style, and you can only do that with time.
Everything is possible my friend.

I think Fergie usually tinkers after internationals & Champs League away games.
--De Gea (Fergie needs him to learn the EPL game and such lessons are best if our bearded Spaniard plays and survives after getting elbowed/shoved/nudged/slapped a few times against Davies)
--Back 4 (I have chosen height and size against big, burly Bolton forwards (Davies, Elmander, Klasnic)
- Cleverley & Ando pairing remains
- Wingers are rotated based on freshest legs. Young & Nani played 2 internationals and will probably be better off for midweek Champions League game. Park & Giggs, who retired from S.Korea and Wales, prob gets the nod, for their energy and experience for a potentially difficult away fixture.- Rooney starts because he is Rooney
- Berbs need games and his height could also prove helpful to defend against Bolton setpieces.
Subs: Lindegaard, Evra, Nani, Young, Hernandez, Carrick, Fabio
We can always bring on Young, Nani & Hernandez if we are chasing the game. Prediction: 1-3. Rooney hattrick

Injured Bolton defender Sam Ricketts on facing Manchester United on Saturday: "The way our gaffer is now we will take the game to Manchester United. You can say that's suicidal but we will go for them as much as they go for us."
Get back into your shed3-0. Kakuta hat trick.
Also that Helen McConnell. yum.
Sir Alex Ferguson is considering leaving goalkeeper David de Gea out of Saturday evening's Barclays Premier League game at Bolton.
Manchester United manager Ferguson has been publicly supportive of the 20-year-old Spaniard since he arrived at Old Trafford and is firm in his belief that De Gea will go on to be the club's No 1 goalkeeper for the next decade.
But after a couple of high-profile mistakes in his first few games for United, Ferguson spent much of Friday wondering whether to replace De Gea with Denmark keeper Anders Lindegaard at the Reebok Stadium.
Ferguson is concerned about the physical threat carried by Owen Coyle's Bolton side and thinks that De Gea may benefit from a day out of the spotlight ahead of United's game in Lisbon in the Champions League on Wednesday.
However, leaving De Gea out now would represent a blow to the former Atletico Madrid man and Ferguson was wondering what effect it may have on his confidence.
And so De Gea is guaranteed to start!!!
Daily Fail
Way to cover their asses there, though. fecking cnuts.![]()
Q. with Rio being fresh, no England, getting him back?
Yeah, you're right. It is a difficult one. None of that back four deserve to be left out. That is the great thing about football. You pick yourself with performances like they have been doing, and I don't anticipate any real changes tomorrow."
I don't see why he would today when there's the opportunity to play Lindegaard against Benfica.I wouldn't be surprised if we gave lindegaard a start today. Fergie said that De Gea wouldn't start as first choice but he gave him games early on as he does with any other signing to give them a taste. The problem was that he dropped a couple of clangers and the media got on his back. Fergie has let him play through the worst of it and now that De Gea can be content with his last couple of games, he might see this as the ideal time to give lindegaard his turn.
You cant have a keeper that cant play against all team.
