Off course he is.Got to build up the drama.I've got the feeling he is (relatively) fine and will be up back and on camera within 24 hours.

My worry is if he dies, what utter shite will the tories replace him with? They've gone from Cameron, to May, to Boris.
At this rate we'll have Nigel4PM.
Get well soon Boris - even if it's just so that we don't have to see the country sink further.
Hope he pulls through but the two are unrelated. Him having a life changing experience doesn't detract from him being a shitty father.Have you never heard of life-changing experiences. Why don't you give the man a chance and see what happens before stating your fachts

UK PM Boris Johnson in 'stable condition' - Downing Street
Our reporters have just been briefed on the latest news regarding the condition of UK prime minister Boris Johnson - who spent the night in intensive care after his coronavirus symptoms worsened.
Downing Street says the prime minister was stable overnight and remains in good spirits.
He is receiving "standard" oxygen treatment and is breathing without any other assistance, a spokesperson says.
He has not required mechanical ventilation or non-invasive respiratory support.
The prime minister has not had a pneumonia diagnosis, the spokesperson adds.
When he was taken to hospital the other night my dad said he probably won't make it as people in their 70s struggle with this virus. He was genuinely stunned when I told him that the bloke is in his mid 50s, just a couple of years older than he is. That got me thinking, why is it that so many of the world leaders are unhealthy as feck? I know they've got hectic schedules but why don't they invest in a treadmill and spend 20-30 minutes on it in the morning before jumping in the shower? There really is no reason for them to look the way they do considering they have the money to invest in training equipment and are literally surrounded by politicians banging on about health benefits of physical activity.

It's because there appears to be a significant portion of the caf who are cnuts that like to feed on negativity. As dickish as Boris can come across at times, he isn't a monster. I hope he makes a swift recovery, irrespective of my view on his politics.Funny how this is now the line trotted out by the majority of the members including mods, yet no one seemed to care to discuss Kobe Bryant's shortcomings in his very own RIP thread hours after he died.
Or they try to enjoy the limited amount of time sociality affords them, as opposed to trying to prolong it.Why does anyone live an unhealthy lifestyle? They like sitting on their arse, eating and drinking too much I guess.
This. Its more so down to diet/drink than lack of exercise. You can remain relatively healthy with a clean diet and little to no exercise at all.
Wouldn't wish it on anyone, but with the 10s of thousands of people around the world dieing and suffering in intensive care, I feel almost relieved (dunno if thats the right word) that a world leader is one of them, especially one of the early naysayers.
His influence around the world after having gone through it first hand could save many, many lives. Hope to god he survives.
If he continues in the same path and ignores expert advice he's the last person that needs to be in charge.Sincerely hope he recovers. As much as I am not a fan of the man, we need him right now to be that focal point and to make the necessary decisions to fight this thing. On a personal level it's actually quite distressing to see him being obviously so ill - it will hopefully open some people's eyes to just how serious this virus is and that it can have severe implications for many of us. If we are unable to save the PM then what chance do the rest of us have?
What evidence is there to suggest this will happen?Am very hopeful that should Boris survive, he will lead UK better out of this crisis, and he will personally become NHS's staunchest supporter within Government.
I never use the ignore function but I think it’s time.
He's going to remain fat and will be even unhealthier going forward. He needs to resign from the post.
Boris does do some cardio: Often seen running and on his bike as London Mayor. When he was taken to hospital the other night my dad said he probably won't make it as people in their 70s struggle with this virus. Human nature. Happens all the time. What evidence is there to suggest this will happen?
I now want to be Prime Minister. He sits in endless meeting, always surrounded by tea, biscuits and cake!
Seem to be wishful thinking.Human nature. Happens all the time.
Regardless, he is our PM, won by democratic election. It's what the country wanted.
I now want to be Prime Minister.
Seem to be wishful thinking.
I'd vote for you!I now want to be Prime Minister.
Or they try to enjoy the limited amount of time sociality affords them, as opposed to trying to prolong it.
I'm the same height as Boris, yet five-and-a-half stone lighter than him, and even that weight is considered borderline overweight (according to the NHS guide I saw).
And to be fair, nobody has actually siad they hope he doesn't recover. Obviously we all want him to recover, but that doesn't mean it's not worth discussing his shortcomings in all this.
Well put.I should clarify first that I don’t wish death on him by any stretch and hope he pulls through and proves to be a good father and prime minister.
With that said though, I have a problem separating the lack of empathy and lack of support Boris and his associates have shown for the vulnerable, the poor and minorities during their political careers from the empathy and support we are expected to show him when he finds himself particularly vulnerable.
There has been hundreds of thousands of people over the last decade who have not had the support or treatment they required when they have found themselves critically ill thanks to austerity and the drip drip privatisation of the NHS.
It seems perfectly OK to show absolute contempt for people as long as you don’t focus on an individual. How many individuals though have they nodded at and shaken hands with in hospital for their PR exercises over the last decade before voting against their interests and confirming their mortality?
