Bundesliga 13/14

14:30 Bayer Leverkusen - SC Freiburg
14:30 Hannover 96 - VfL Wolfsburg
14:30 1899 Hoffenheim - 1. FC Nürnberg
14:30 FC Augsburg - Borussia Dortmund
14:30 Hertha BSC - Eintracht Frankfurt

starting in 10 minutes.

Dortmund's starting lineup:

-------------Lewandowski
Aubameyang -- Gündogan-- Reus
----------Sahin ------ Bender
Schmelzer - Hummels - Subotic - Großkreutz
--------------- Langerak

Weidenfeller, Mkhitaryan, Piszczek are injured, Blaszczykowski supposedly not 100% fit, but he's on the bench.

Balu do you know how long Weidenfeller will be out? Would be quite a blow, Langerak is a bit of a shit GK and Weidefeller was fantastic the last 2 seasons.

Weidenfeller's banned for one game due to his red card v Hoffenheim in the last season's last league game.
Oh right, totally forgot about that. I'm sure I read somewhere he's injured though.

edit: can't find anything, so most likely Weidenfeller will be back next week.

He had some back pain and since he was missing the first game anyway Klopp decided to let Langerak play the cup match.

The Dortmund game is a bit shitty so far

Augsburg has been playing great up until the goal- pressing extremely aggressive.

Good scenes by Aubameyang and Schmelzer, but overall not a deserved lead. Pretty sloppy defending and not much structure in their offensive actions so far, but it is the first league game and not everything can be fine tuned right now.

Yeah, its been a bit meh overall.

First good combination since ages by Dortmund, shame Reus and Großkreutz could not capitalize on it. At least there is more grit in the game now.

Important save by Bender on the line.

Langerak really is quite something. Haven't seen a single game from him when he didnt have at least one brainfart

Yeah.. Langerak tends to make one or two mistakes per game however if you put that aside he's a decent keeper. Maybe he'll grow out of that if he gets more games.

To be fair it has to be said that he only started 6 times for them.

Don't know. Everytime I watched him he looked shaky at the back. Still young though.

He always has his shaky moments, but in general he seems very talented. Great reflexes.

Dortmund's second team has a 19 year old keeper who supposedly is a huge talent and seems to come from a dynasty of Borussia fans. If he turns out good we might see Langerak trying to find a first team spot elsewhere and this young guy taking the spot, because given that he is "already" 24 years old and Weidenfeller seems to be in no hurry to end his carreer the perspective for Langerak does not look that great.

Also a real shame what happened to Sahin at Real (and Pool). He looked absolutely class before he joined them. Hasnt looked the same since then although he's slowly finding his way back.

I don't know but I really don't like Gündogan playing in that AMC position not because he is bad but because Dortmund's game seem to lack something without him in a deeper role.

Well, it puts more responsibility on Sahin, who is mostly taken out of the game by a very efficient midfield of Augsburg. It was an overall poor day from Gürndogan, who is now replaced by Kuba. Reus now in the AM position.

Well Dortmund's system during the season before he moved to Real was pretty much perfect for him. While he was away a lot of things changed though, so I'm not sure if he is going to be as good/influental as he was before.

He played v Wilhelmshaven last week (DFB-Pokal), three times last season, five times the season before that and made his debut the season before that v Bayern Munich.

That's ten games he has started for Dortmund in all competitions and still unbeaten.

Would be a shame. I was really a fan of him.

Bonmann, you mean? Played for Dortmund in a couple of pre-season matches and looked so assured already.

I was going by this database http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/mitchell-langerak/leistungsdaten-detail/spieler_49347.html, overlooked the cup games though.

Great debut for Aubameyang two nice finishes and a good set up for Reus.
