Bundesliga 13/14

Westermann is not as bad as people think. He is solid and versatile but swamped when he has to be the chief of defense. He needs confident defenders next to him. Hamburg failed to buy another solid CB after they sold Joris Mathijsen.

Edit: Great that Hamburg won tonight. Big step to avoid relegation.

Our line-up today in Augsburg:

Neuer - van Buyten, Martínez, Mandzukic, Shaqiri, Pizarro, Weiser, Schweinsteiger, Hojbjerg, Sallahi, Kroos

That should be interesting.

Who's the Kosovan kid? Is he supposed to be the next big thing?

Kroos will start all three games then, no way he would fit us.

Martinez is out.

If Sallahi plays, its just to rest Alaba. Not the next big thing. Contento is injured. I always liked Weiser. I hope he plays well. "Interesting" lineup. Thats our C-squad and really pep-like. A winger as FB. A DM as CB. I guess defenders are overrated

What about Dortmund? Are they resting their key players?
Their game starts in 3 hours, no line-up released yet. Can't see it though, they play Wolfsburg and really need to win to secure CL football. I expect them to play their best possible team.

Schweinsteiger has gone too short with his hair, looks like thief, refs don't seem too like it either.

Commentator just said Bayern is yet to score a goal from outside the box this season in bundesliga. That can't be true.

Wow, Neuer. Completely saved the defence's ass right there. He must've sprinted 30 yards for that.

Hyypia sacked. Bayer Leverkusen looked like a promising team but they just look tired.

No depth what so ever in that squad. The tell signs for that were there at the end of last years, when they suffered immensively with the loss of just one player (Sam).

I agree.

Didn't think it'd get this terrible though, they're now even in danger of losing the Champions League spot.

Piggy's mad. 53-match unbeaten run ends against Augsburg. Who would've expected that?

Bayern's B-team about to lose 17.5 month unbeaten run...

Will also be their first league loss away from home since 2 years ago.

The last weeks are somewhat worrying. We really struggle to break down teams and create good chances from open play. Really pissed now, so fecking unnessary to loose that game . They better sort it out before Wednesday.

Well if we get thumped, you might get banned :p

Yeah. I've only watched Bayern play Mainz, Hoffenheim, and Augsburg. Missed the mid-week one before Hoffenheim, and Bayern struggled in all of those games. Mainz held on, and almost took the lead until they conceded the first goal, Hoffenheim kept them to a draw, and Augsburg won. Will be interesting on wednesday.

Great performance from Jeong-Ho Hong today. Hoping this performance helps him grow into the team for next season.

Double upright in the Wolfsburg game! Wow! Need a gif of that.

A wolfsburg player slid in to score, the ball hit the upright, bounced back down on his knee, and then back up in the upright. approx 39 mins in.

Shame, it was excellent chance for Dortmund to narrow it just to -20 points now that Bayern lost. Still second half to play though.

You should know that Wolfsburg player - Ivica Olic - does that ring something? ;)

Damn, that was poor, really, really poor.

No movement, no accuracy, no urgency. The team seems utterly exhausted: physically but more importantly mentally. I realize that playing without half the regulars for roughly half a year can make them going on their last legs, but sooner or later they need to get their shit together.

And it was De Bruyne with the pass. I just got so excited about the double upright, that I got confused as to whether or not it was Olic.

Well, thats two performance related substitutions at HT by Klopp: Jojic for Sahin and Durm for Aubameyang. Thats a new one. Tells everything I need to know about this performance.

And now the Rookie in Wolfsburgs goal gifts us the second goal

Not gonna lie. The first half pissed me off to no end, but this collective reaction by the team really makes me proud.

 Adler

If he goes to the WC we can only hope Neuer doesn't get injured.

What has happened to Adler? Seems to be making a lot of mistakes at Hamburg when he was rated at the same level as Neuer at Leverkusen. I remember him attending one of our matches at Anfield when we were searching for VDS's replacement.
