3? We only have two, Badstuber and Benatia? And to be honest, I think we're stronger at the back with Alaba left centerback and Bernat leftback than with Benatia in it.
 
Good piece of work there by Coman. Strong dribbling and sweet pass into the box for Vidal. He's not looking bad so far.

But it really is a terrible conference so far. Probably also a result of the EL during the week, which means more quality teams tomorrow.

He had one stand out season for Schalke in 11/12, where he scored a crazy amount of goals. Overall he is hit and miss and often injured. His numbers aren´t bad, but his overall contribution isn´t great. If he doesn´t score, he doesn´t do a whole lot. He also doesn´t offer leadership and Schalke can´t bench him even if he is having a dry spell. He is eventually Schalke´s best paid player and that is just not in line with his performances. So it is not really like with RvP, who was genuine worldclass and fall off a cliff after injuries and age caught up. He is just not that good.
 
3-0 Rode. Darmstadt fell apart. Just 4 goals so far this afternoon with Koln's goal
 
Very happy for Rode. I can't see him staying after this season though, he could easily start for an Europa League or maybe even CL team regularly. He's been really good for us whenever he got the chance to play.

If Schalke wins tomorrow, they are third and then it is a more usual picture with a surprise team in the mix, which happens quite often aswell.

Leverkusen is already under a bit of pressure vs. us, though.
