I don´t think it will be theoretically over by March, but I expect the beginning of March to be a deciding point, when you guys come to the Westfalenstadium. If we are still in reach like right now by then, a win there could potentially create a real title race because with the CL KO stages around that time (which will take priority for the players and Guardiola) the pressure by us could make you slip up in the league. On the other hand a loss would make us probably set the priorities towards the EL, where the chances to win will be more realistic.
The task will be to stay in reach until then, which will also depend on if we stay fortunate in terms of injuries. So far we only had two long time injured players plus one or two with short injuries, which we could compensate. Still, one or two longer key injuries (Hummels, Weigl/Gündogan until Sahin is fully back, Auba) could lower these chances considerably. Like I said, the early advance towards the EL KO stages will help us in the rest of the season half as we can give our key players plenty of rest. Besides the derby tomorrow and the game in Wolfsburg the rest of the fixtures are also not that scary until the winter break.
We are in good form and have reached a consistency and mentality we did not have since 2012 on the back of one of Europe´s best offensives, but Bayern stays the heavy favourite. Normally we only have a shot if they screw up and we win the direct fixture at home.

Cause Hummels passes the ball into the foot of the opposition, while everybody is moving forward.
Ginter is a machine going forward. Last year a €10 transfer fee looked too much. This season €10M looks like a bargain.

When you look at Ginther's numbers you really got to feel for Piszczek, Ginther took his chance and outclasses him with an ease.

We have trouble creating cutting edge outside of the two goals which also proves us being very efficient today. The conceded goal was of course too easy and shows that we simply leakntoo many easy goals. Unless we sort that out we will have no chance on the title, because at one point we won't outscore the opposition to make up for the weaknesses in the back.

Really nice fast passing there from Dortmund. In the 92nd min! Gündogan almost scored.
Phew, I probably did not take a breath for 15 minutes or so. Game was way closer than it should have been because of two gifts by us and the league´s best performing GK, who needs to be clled up to the national team ASAP.

We seriously have to sort out our defence, it's too easy for opponents to score. I shit myself everytime an opponent comes on our half.
Well first of all, there is as pretty big difference between us and Schalke in terms of current abilities, which can be seen in naked numbers and today on the pitch. If Fährmann does not pull out three world class saves the derby ends up pretty ugly very quickly.
But yes, we are behind Bayern especially in terms of balance and defensive stability, but we are in good company with that as they are better than anything in club football right now. Even with our average defense we play an amazing season, reaching a points average which would put us at the top of any European top league and showing scoring ability which is only matched by said Bayern and pretty far above any European team bar Paris, which dominate the French league with ease.
Which team isn't? Only Barca and Real can match them, and even they have not as much quality as Bayern has overall.
Once again one of our players gets injured during the fecking international break. Thiago's out for a "couple of weeks" with a knee injury... brilliant.
