somehow i have this feeling we wont be the last one laughing tonight... to make it worse, liverpool are 1-0 up against stoke
 
I really hope to feck that Fergie gives them an old fashioned cup-throwing, boot-kicking rollicking, because they need it. There's a lack of urgency, a lack of drive out there.
 
WHy is Park shit? Would help if people would epxlain it bit more, as in bad passing, poor positioning, no hustle, poor crosses, giving the ball away, etc...

It was low down and pretty much in the corner. Maybe not RIGHT in the corner but still a decent penalty - just a very good save
 
1.5 games in and Evra's been our best attacking player so far this season.
 
HT:Hope to see a different United in the second half.Because i don't know who those imposters were.
 
You never win a game where you miss a penalty while trailing.
 
That was terrible. I don't think Burnley were especially great, but they really didn't have to be, we've been awful.

Yes, yes we are.

But we've also been shit, and Burnley deserve to be in the lead.

Evra - well done lad, you're the only player I can really say has played well in the first half.
 
HT. 1-0. Not too good from us.

We look nervous, lethargic and sloppy in front of goal. A big improvement is needed in the second half otherwise we will lose this game. Its a shame we couldnt score that pen because our job is much harder now. We havent made the most of our opportunities while they have taken theirs. Time to step it up.

I think Valencia will be coming on because we need more from the right wing.
 
ok..lets take owen off..put berba on...lets take park off and put valencia on......that hopefully will give some impetus up front. Carrick should never have taken the penalty.....we should have given that to owen. If he scores....great confidence upheld.....misses...well...we know he's a dud :boring:
 
Funny enough i knew we would miss that pen, we havent looked like scoring for most of the game we were never going to score from anything! I know its knee-jerk but i always felt we would struggle to score goals this season but believed everyone would step up... well it hasnt happened so far!
 
I think we need to get our heads back in the game. We need to exploit the wings a bit more, and frankly Anderson/Giggs/Park aren't doing so, they are camping in their own half with 10 men behind the ball. We should bring on Valencia to hug the touch line and bring a bit more width to our play. I'd like to see Berbatov on for Anderson, and Valencia on for Park.

We can go all out, stretch their backline with Owen on the shoulder, and width provided by Valencia and Evra.

Not to be too rash, but Berbatov on, Park off. Rooney can drop deep if he wants and feed Owen and Berba. If we're going to persist with these high balls at least go with Berbatov who can actually outjump defenders.

Very ordinary today. Absolutely rubbish width - get Valencia on for Park, or Tosic if he's on the bench. The midfield hasnt been in control. The defence obviously not as infallable as when we have our first choice players and they cant bail us out.

We could perhaps do with Berbatov coming on and playing well to add some creativity and ideas, but unfortunately the only way we can get him on is to replace someone who is more likely to get a goal than he is.
 
Listening to it on radio so can't be sure, but Park and Anderson on the wings? Anderson CANNOT play wide - what is Fergie doing? And Park is just ordinary. Assume Valencia is on the bench?
 
Nobody seem to be making runs into the box, except Evra ffs. Owen has been relatively quiet except one or two moments when he should have done better, all very static which is a problem since Burnley are defending in numbers. Doesn't help Carrick has forgotten how to play football though, when he plays well we play well. Massive improvement due lads, we look very ordinary.
