A few observations here:
I really like the way this United XI is playing: quick, aggressive with lots of enthusiasm.
In the first half, I was really impressed with Jonny Evans. This is the first time I've seen him and he seems to be one for the future. He shows lots of confidence and leadership skills, although it helps to paired with Wes. I don't think the fullbacks have been that bad although both have been caught out once or twice.
As for the midfielders, it must be something about playing in Scotland that brings the best out of Fletcher. He is showing good confidence playing that deep role. IMO, it is the only role that he can play effectively. Let's judge how he plays there this season, if he gets the chance. As for Scholes, always a pro's pro. Eagles has been a little too pedestrian but can make things happen. He needs to do it more often. As for Martin, he also looks the business but needs to be loaned out to get consistent matches.
Richardson always looks better when given more license to roam and he is so far proving it today. Rossi seems to be out of his element as a main striker as are most strikers. He seems to be a better player when partnered up front, especially when he is playing behind another forward.
And yes, Celtic look a shite side.
