David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

This is what I think some people often fail to see how him - he's not just shit, he's demoralising. Wasn't there a story about Vidic and Rio leaving a meeting with him and feeling completely bewildered by the experience. It's not just about he who did and didn't sign, it's about him as a person.

Yep, thoroughly depressing individual. I'm amazed anyone is trying to defend him. If he was your boss would you have even an ounce of respect for him? He could manage a branch of Mcdonalds and he would still have zero respect from the staff.

The transition from Rio, Vida & Evra would have just been handled so much better by a manager like Mourinho. Of that there is no doubt, Moyes completely fecked up that opportunity.

He was a manager for 15 years before United.

He's managed in the CL after all, he's probably waiting for Barca to contact him given Enrique is leaving end of season.

"I thought we could have salted the fries a bit quicker, pushed the Happy Meals a bit more. I'm always looking to bring in new staff, but the lads are trying and they deserve credit for that. If we can get on the local Wimpy's level, I'll be happy enough. Will I be resigning now that we've been voted the worst location of the entire franchise? Well, I've been using my office as a makeshift bedroom, so that'll be a no."

I'd like to see him give it a go.

He is the polar opposite of a motivator. Maybe best suited as a trojan horse. Wouldn't mind a poll on where they'll finish in the Championship if he's still their manager.

Quite ironic after watching that Ferguson speech.

Moyes is the perfect bog roll to be flushed down to the championship with that turd of a club that has been circling the bowl for the last few seasons.

Take that as a gift from us you poor mans Geordies.

If there was progress, then why was he sacked?
Lost out on top 4 + jose was available. The progress was there, he was bringing youngsters through like Rashford, and wouild have made top 4 if half of his signings hadn't turned out to be duds.

I don't personally know Moyes. It really doesn't bother me. I agree he should have been sacked, but talk about beating a dead fecking horse. Move on!

Maybe some of us are not ready to move on. I myself am still cycling between the first 5 of the 6 stages of grief that he managed our great club. I'm not sure when, if ever, I will be able to move onto acceptance.

He made those signings. To me, instead of changing to his favoured 4231, where he bought Schneiderlin and Schwienstieger, who obviously didn't work, he should have continued with the 4141, which saw us finish off the season so well.

Anyway...no point arguing over who was better. Ultimately, both of them got sacked for not being good enough. Hopefully Mourinho can take us back to the top.

You should probably get some counselling.

If it doesn't bother you, why are you repeatedly defending him? People are still pissed because there are very good reasons for believing a competent manager would not have destroyed our team like he did when Fergie left.

Also, as has been said by many others his constant whinging after leaving have further cemented his reputation as a total plank.

I'm wouldn't say i'm defedning him per se. I've said numerous times that I agree with him being sacked. I'm more confused why people, like yourself, are still pissed off about something that he couldn't control (in terms of Fergie choosing him) and happened a number of years ago?

I mean, a lot has happened since then, including winning a major cup and being back in the top 4.

For me personally I'm still pissed off because he still slags the club off at every opportunity, and makes out he is a great manager that was hard done by. All this despite the mass of evidence of his shitness since.

I think it's been explained to you a few times, the reason being that he can't seem to let it go and constantly tries to portray his miserable spell as being anything but his fault, hence the backlash from United fans.

He's a CL calibre manager after all so this was just a stepping stone to a much bigger job.

Anyone saying LVG wasn't much better is having a laugh.

LVG's reign was failed in the end but he did get 4th position in his 1st and a FA cup in 2nd season.

With Moyes we were just a terrible team. And it will be portrayed as one of the darkest moments of our proud club.

He hasn't shown that he has single idea in his thick head that he can still effectively manage a football club. He's finished.

For feck sake this useless arsehole has been nothing but a parasite and a leech on the club, taking £50K a week to get hammered off Burnley,, Swansea, Stoke at home and gifting a truely woeful Boro side 6 points. That's just some of his low lights of his 22 defeats from 33 games.

The horrible bastard deserves kicking in the nuts off every single one of our home crowd for the abject misery he's put us through this season before being booted up the arse all the way back to Scotland.

feck off Moyes, you've relegated us without a whimper of fight. You're a twat of a failure.

poznan

I'm so grateful he's not my Dad
"Your surname is Moyes, you wouldn't happen to be related to David Moyes would you? You look like him to be honest"
"Nope, not me, I get it all the time though, just a coincidence." *texts mum quickly* don't let dad pick me up ever!

Remarkable that this man was seen as a worthy successor to Sir Alex.

He is the polar opposite of a motivator. Maybe best suited as a trojan horse.

Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, MCFC - they all tried to de-thrown Fergie's MUFC from the top of the EPL perch.
Everytime one of these clubs beat MUFC into 2nd place, Fergie would come back and take us back to the top.
Finally, Moyes came in, as the trojan horse and took MUFC to the depths of 7th place.

David Moyes deserves all the stick he gets, on this forum. Every negative comment towards him, is fully justified.

Indeed.

See this has always been the vital reason that I think so many of us are enjoying all this. It wasn't just him being complete shite as manager of Utd. It was his attitude.

He's so fecking smug and arrogant. Van Gaal hasn't said a thing since his sacking at Utd, Moyes seems to talk about it at length every few weeks.

Can't wait to see how he tries to absolve himself of the blame for relegation.

Yup this is exactly why I derive joy from his suffering. I have absolutely nothing against a manager who wasn't good enough, that's fair enough. However Moyes just exuded arrogance from the off, based on absolutely nothing. Who could forget "I got us to the champions league against Bayern" followed up so many times by "the players lost", ragging on Fergie, blaming everyone around him for his own failings. All of this was compounded by the press, and even worse, so many of our fans, constantly repeating what a humble and hard working guy Moyes was, when all evidence in front your eyes pointed to the complete opposite.

Not to mention it's actually gotten worse since he left us. If he's asked about United he can easily not comment, but he won't miss an opportunity to say it was the club's fault. I don't care who uses the justification that he's protecting his own reputation, anyone with working eyes or ears knows he's completely full of nonsense.

I will never stop enjoying his failure because for such an arrogant deluded man to have the reputation of being humble and hard working is simply unacceptable. I hope he continues to get lower and lower ranked jobs and continually fails at them for the rest of his career.
