Challenged.Cut him some slack, beating up women is a sign of respect in his part of the world.

Has Gary Neville come to the rescue yet?
It will be Sunday Supplement squad, Custis et al. They were gushing over him just yesterday, the fecking weirdos. I mean, the man is a fecking fraud.
I hate Moyes, I said it whilst he was United he came across a proper nasty character. His attitude towards reporters was horrid at times and I always maintained it wasn't in fitting with our club.
I know Sir Alex wasn't always the nicest of guys but you always felt he was a nice guy generally, I don't get that feeling with Moyes. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Sunderland use this as an excuse to sack him.

What if she was possessed by Hitler demon?
He'll have a worse legacy than The Undertaker.I honestly think he wants to be sacked.
I wish I could be this bad at my job and still make millions out of it.
Genuinely curious to see where Moyes ends up 5 years from now.
It was clearly a joke, the lady in question laughed, she never reported it and accepted his apology.
Not his biggest fan but this is bullshit to be honest.
what he said was incredibly naive, but i am not up with my political correctness. Is it sexist because he said "even though you're a women". If he didn't say that would it have been treated the same if he said it to a man?
A nice and easy way to sack him without having to pay out his contract I would imagine.
"They tell me that you're a woman..."I've been waiting to see Moyes attempt flirting for a while.

I don't see how it's sexist, it's just a bit weird. The sort of thing someone at work says and you just pretend to laugh at so they'll go away. Which is exactly what the female reporter did.
Obviously meant in good humour. Moyes is clearly a terrible manager and a cretin, but of all the things he should be crucified for this isn't it.
Yeah I agree. Although maybe not the best joke, it clearly wasn't serious.
would he have threatened to slap a male reporter in jest?
Pretty much what I was trying to get at earlier
Probably not sexist and not serious. But just a very very odd remark.
Could anyone imagine saying that to a women in a working environment? They would probably laugh it off but think what a fecking weirdo
Hmmmm, is there more to it than just this one misfiring joke?
This sort of changes my view on this from innocent joke to something a bit more serious.
Sounds to me like he was being passive aggressive under the sly. I've always maintained he's not the 'decent' bloke his press buddies were making him out to be. Never ever came across as such. He's a nasty piece of work imo.
