Contact was on the left knee which, for me, looked like it was on the line. The line is part of the area that it surrounds, so foul on the line is a penalty.

Yeah it was clearly on the line, surprised VAR gave it.
It's the fact that he waits to see what the goalie is going to do that I don't like.

No the foul happened and took him out over the line. Therefore he was inside until he was fouled.
If it's not conclusively outside, then surely the call that the ref made should stand?
On the line is inside. It looked outside the box to me though.
According to Dr Joe, on the line is a penalty.

I love VAR, but I guess I'm going to be sick to death of players making that 'screen' gesture. The new waving imaginary card thing.
Weird that people struggle with that distinction while simultaneously knowing that the whole ball must pass the touchline for it to be out of touch. The line is part of the area that it surrounds.

I thought the foul was the contact on Hazard's right foot which was just outside the area. The back of the Tunisian defender's foot however was just on the line. Personally, I would class the foul as where Hazard is so outside the box.
That was the highest foot I've ever seen.
How is that flying tackle not a foul?
