You've got to give it to baldy, he is able to make some horrendous footballers look like actual professionals in his setup.
None of his players have set the world alight in this world cup. kdb, sterling, b silva, jesus etc and others as well. Definitely deserves more credit. City don't have 11 world class players. Just being managed well.

Really why do people rate Colombia? The typical south American team cnutishness aside, what do they offer?

First time i am having a proper look at England. They are rather good

You froggies or the sambas will do them good and proper. Not sure about Belgium since their defence is dodgy to say the least.

Boring game. Nothing really happening. Colombia aren't doing anything and England dominating without much chances.

Columbia just do not have any outlet in midfield to connect to the attacking phase. This match reminds me of MLS, good enough tempo/pace, but the actual play is rushed, sloppy and hurried. Need much more moments of quality and calmness with/without the ball.

Waiting for english goalkeeper's blunder

Colombia look like they can launch an effective counter if they just stop faffing about on the rare occasions they have the ball. Shooting it to row Z, lumping it sideways only to see it go out of play etc.

I wouldn't trust Alli, Lingard or Sterling in a pen shootout which looks like where this is going

Rashford has to come on for Sterling. So many of our attacks break down through him.

Dont think it is shit, we have made a few good chances.
Ali and Sterling are doing nothing, even when Sterling does have a run and shot , it hits a defenders legs.
Theres some good play but it keeps coming to nothing when alli and sterling get it as you say... problem is they play in very important positions so get on the ball a lot. Colombia at the other end only look a threat on the occasional counter but England usually have enough men back. In normal play Colombia look toothless with only Falcao up against a back 5. Type of game that needs a goal to come to life but past a set piece, not sure where itll come from.

I have been looking with one eye and apparently missed England domination. Aren't you guys exaggerating?

It’s like watching LVG era United. Lots of competent passing but boring as feck

To be fair they are missing their best and only world class player.

James and Quintero would allow Cuadrado to play further up the pitch somewhat near with Falcao, but obviously this isn't the case with James out. It makes for this cagey match with limited quality thus far.
