Awful post. What has that got to do with Ed? Stay on topic.
I am talking about the coordination between Woodward and LVG. Why sign a player for 60m and then bench him because he is not following the stupid "philosophy".

Anyone think the Glazets have clamped down on Ed this summer?
Agree 100%. All these fans blaming Woodward as if the deals are on on him now. Its quite possible the clubs are not keen on selling ir asking unreasonable fees. So Jose has to have alternative, gettable targets. Not 50m euros Perisic. Or 90m euros Morata. If thats the limit of Jose's scouting network, then thats on him.
Because the dumb manager in question wanted him.I am talking about the coordination between Woodward and LVG. Why sign a player for 60m and then bench him because he is not following the stupid "philosophy".
The same Di Maria who left us because LVG benched him and then complained about no pace in the team?
Say we were to go into the season having only signed the one player, however unlikely, is there a chance that Jose would walk?
He must know that he's not going to do anything with our current squad.
Like he delivered Fellaini in his first year?
The people sticking up for Ed, who do you think will get the blame for the disappointing transfer window if it stays this way? I can see jose having a dig at him in a press conference after we have lost a game and the pressure is on saying he gave him his list months ago.
Can we fecking move on from Fellaini already? He is a good squad player now and does he really deserve to be the throwaway gag every summer? feck me!

You are right in a way, but in another way utterly wrong, and it's like you haven't spotted the severe inflation going on.
Michael Keane, that's Michael Keane is going for £25m. Liverpool were quoted anywhere from £50-70m for their latest Southampton defender fetish.
This is probably the most awkward transfer window for a long time. All English Premier teams have ridiculous reserves of cash, so aren't under the historical pressure to sell. While foreign teams have certainly clocked it too.
The market is waiting for a couple of major deals to explode it into life, and we've got to be careful we don't overpay for the first one, or we'll overpay for the rest for the summer's work too.
I expect more signings, just not the first choice ones he wanted .The key word being if. It's quite unlikely we would sign no one else

Jeez, people can't take a joke.
I have a shady/good feeling that Morata is totally wrapped up and Woodie just not announcing it out of tactical reasons. Like for other clubs not signing key-players before we've had a go.
If we're paying a huge fee for him, it's in our interest to inflate the market for our competitors unless Madrid are trying to wrap up the Mbappe deal and have agreed a deal with us on the basis we don't announce it until they have done that. I guess we might also be trying to wrap other deals up without announcing we've spent over the odds on Morata first.
I don't understand what part of my post that you quoted has any relevance to what you're saying here? What have I said that's wrong?
For what it's worth, I agree with much of what you've said above in relation to inflation, which actually reflects well on the club regarding the Lindelof deal. If he does well, then we'll have managed to buy a new first choice central defence for less than a Virgil Van Dijk.

What can Wòdward do when he is handed unattainable targets? Just look at the clubs we are trying to buy players from there are the types that sell when they no longer want the player or have signed a better one because they are bona fide big clubs in their own rights. If we were targeting players from the likes of Monaco/Lyon we'd have made progress already. The people sticking up for Ed, who do you think will get the blame for the disappointing transfer window if it stays this way? Jose has to shoulder alot of the blame if we fail to get our signings in time for the tour or start of the season. He weakened our bargaining position by putting all the pressure onto Woodward to get them in by a certain time.
The owners and chief execs across Europe can have a field day this way.
Even the rumoured potential signings this summer are, to be honest, pretty dull. Especially given were an elite club with a rubbish attack.Jose has to shoulder alot of the blame if we fail to get our signings in time for the tour or start of the season. I think I've read somewhere he's starting work July the 1st, but probably not. Maybe tomorrow, Monday the 3rd.Anything been said about when Jose is back off his holiday?
Maybe he wants to wait until we go on tour so he can leave early to fly to Madrid for urgent transfer business and be the hero to all muppets.I have a shady/good feeling that Morata is totally wrapped up and Woodie just not announcing it out of tactical reasons. Neil Custis writes that Mourinho is frustrated with the lack of signings 9 days from the tour and is particularly concerned at the club's inability to get a deal for a new striker over the line, given Ibrahimovic's injury.

That's a very hard case to prove, we have no idea how many millions he has or hasnt saved by staying at the negotiating table for longer. And even in instances where he hasnt ended up saving anything, doesnt mean it wasnt worth trying to get the best price possible.A few more papers now saying Mourinho is unhappy at the lack of transfer activity so far. Anyone else still willing to say Woodward is doing a great job?
This has happened a few times now, he spends most of the summer negotiating only to end up with a deal he prob could have done within the first week and we haven't really saved any money nor given the players enough time to settle in before the season starts.
Personally I think he should stick to the commercial side of things which he has been brilliant at and bring someone with top transfer negotiating skills.
