There's every chance of him joining United but it comes down to whether the manager really wants Hazard. I'm surprised Madrid haven't snapped him up yet, there were talks of them using Zidane as the middle man for the deal.

Re Anderson : well you have watched him from the stands ... Is your concern fitness, ability, consistency or abit of all three?
I'm hoping he can get fit and then make a 'Fletcher' type leap in terms of development now that his lengthy apprentiship with the club is at its end!

Imo, if we really want him and go all out, we've got a decent chance. I suspect Fergie was half-hearted about Sneidjer and Nasri. Probably didn't think they were ideal.

Some of the things he did in the video are great albeit he's doing most of these in the French league, and his dribbling style and ability reminds me of Ronaldo 06. Always thought he's a left-footer but actually a rightie, seems to me he can use both feet as well

Moreover, if you like at our recent signings we never entered into auctions with anyone, but rather did a lot of homework beforehand. If we really are closing on hazard and he really wants to join us i dont think he would have commented on our interest.
Real don't need him at all but knowing them, they will buy him up for fun and stick him in the reserves or play him in the occasional game. Can't see Barca entering the bid. City definitely will but i suspect he will turn them down, same goes for Spurs. Which leaves Madrid, Arsenal and probably us. The Milan clubs are dark horses to sign him i feel, or even Juve
To be fair we did get Berbatov with City in the running. Although City are a different prospect now. But in general I agree. I don't see us competing with the likes of City and Madrid for players in the summer. Although the word has been terribly misused well go for someone who represents good value for money I reckon. Like a Jones at 17 million or whatever it was. Or an established winger like Going for under 20. Don't see us getting into a dog fight with City or Real and spending 30 plus on anyone. But if we do I hope its not someone closer to 30 than 25.
Hazard said last week that he is leaving France at the end of the season and that he wants to move to England. Chelsea are favourites.

If Berba does leave we will be short in players capable of filling in when Rooney is injured, someone versatile like Hazard would be a great buy. Imagine the speed and interchangeability of Young-Hazard-Nani with Welbeck up top.
Hazard will have something to say about that. Despite the inferiority complex of some fans, it's possible for United to be chosen ahead of Madrid. It's happened in the past.
Hazard has shown an intelligent appreciation of his own career prospects, so, who knows, he may not fancy sitting on the bench in the Bernabeu. Apart from the fact that Real can't buy every good young player in world football.
Where would he play for us? Wing or AM? He can't play where we really need someone, which is CM.
We don't need a player like him for CM. We need a player like him to replace Berbatov and Park at the same time.
For CM the likes of Martinez and M'villa are better bets.
It would be amazing if we got Hazard and one of those two. We really only need cover for Carrick in CM and like you said Hazard would be cover for the loss of Berba and Park if Sir Alex decides their time is up.
Even if we don't "need" certain players it doesn't mean they couldn't improve us..

Consistency and fitness are linked in his case with the amount of injuries suffered. Two vital ingredients needed to be the very best attacking midfielder has been lacking in his game which are energy (engine) and shooting technique, even when fit long enough. Unless he is another late developer I'd say he will moved.
Completely agree. The muppet in me would sign Hazard and M'Vila or Javi Martinez and I think we would be well able to compete for every trophy.

He can absorb two or three defending players and still have ball, close to his feet. Also, quite a good goalscorer.

Looks like a pacey, skillfull winger with the odd goal in him and suspect end product. That's Nani's role for us. Think we need a player in the Scholes/Silva mould.

Hazard isn't "needed" by United right now but he's the sort of talents you still have to sign because the potential is that big.
It's been said numerous times that he can play in the middle ala David Silva.
I'd even go as far as saying that he's better in the middle, that's where the quality of his passing game really shines
Haven't seen his passing prowess, but if he can play both roles then he could be just what we need. It's not often you get both attributes in one player, it's usually one or the other.
I hope we land him just to quieten down the doom-mongers who seem to think United and Fergie cannot attain the best prospects. Hazard plus a more defensive CM would make for a tidy summer.

It's going to be fecking annoying to see him go to City or Chelsea because we couldn't pony up the cash required to bring in a top class talent. We keep hearing the money is there...hopefully it is.
Because they generally use a 4-3-3, and there front 3 players are rotating.
If hazard joins us the only players he will replace are the wingers, no way will he play upfront instead of rooney / welbeck / chicho.
Yes he can play that role behind the striker but unless we change our formation / style then thats why i say that.
