The thing is, the wages that are being quoted by the media, if they are true is insane. This is a player with bags of potential and possibly a wonderful future ahead but he is unproven outside of the french league and lets face it we all know that the standard of the french league in comparison to other leagues in europe is by no means outstanding. Not to belittle the french league, I dont follow it closely but the achievements, or lack of achievements in Europe speaks for itself in comparison to other leagues. If that wage is indeed true (and it may well be falsified crap from the media) then he needs to have a good swift dose of reality if he still wants to play in Manchester, I get the feeling that City will start trying to curb the salary at the club, they cant afford to keep offering ludicrous contracts to players, its not a financially sound system to have in place at a club. Otherwise Chelsea can have him if he still wants that salary.
I dont think anyone is wound up at all to be honest, just the cryptic messages like, "I will play in Manchester next season" and comments like that is pretty much whoring yourself out to clubs, its like saying "oh I will play here this season, if you want to change my mind come make me a bigger better offer and quick." Or this whole stance of announcing his next move after the game tonight, thats a joke. Whatever club he signs with will announce what his next move is, not him. Its always that way, the club unveils the player not the player unveils the club and him giving the impression he will announce it after the game is down right egotistical.
That is the impression he is giving to people, whether he intends to or not. Like I said before, I dont think anyone in here is wound up or upset, its silly season on the caf, being rational goes out the window, I imagine most of us here are quite chill tbh.
