Yes. CB and DM. That´s why there is still hope that he can learn better positoning and anticipation on the sidelines, while he gains experience in the position. Ginter got schooled badly on the goal, but that´s no reason that the Krasnodar player behind was unmarked. Hummels is having a poor season for a team that´s 9 of 9.

Defending on the line is completely different than doing it in the center. This is only his 6th game as RB for us and the crazy high positioning of our fullbacks also don´t do them any favours in terms of defensive positioning because they always chase into 1v1 situations rather than to wait for them to happen.
This was also Ginter´s first crucial error, which was bound to happen sooner or later in his transition of roles.
I wonder if we can buy coutinho from Liverpool, I know its highly improbable, but surely he must be thinking he needs to play in Champions league. I think he has a higher potential than sterling. Him behind martial and surrounded by memphis on one side and maybe januzaj, if he does well on his loan. That team would have so much pace and skill. Shame he plays for pool, if he played for another midtable club, we would have surely tried for him. If anyone buys him and pool cant attract anyone good, i think that will confine liverpool to a midtable club permanently.
If seven strong games out of nine games is now considered poor, sure. Problem is with him this season that the other two very really poor. There is currently no middle ground for him. He is either one of our best players or responsible for goals.

I just realized! Yup, they'll struggle, but they are probably a better side than Celtic so it's not completely impossible.
Good goal, a run in behind the defense. Molde should have picked it up but the right back was asleep. The finish was as cool as a cucumber. He's doing better than RVP, that's for sure.

I don't see how van Gaal couldn't rate him as an option. He has to resort to Valencia after all. I just think he deemed him not good enough to start and made the call for Januzaj's betterment.
In that case he must be confident of him becoming a regular starter for Dortmund, which is quite the risk to take. But going by today, you never know. Certainly seems to provide them something different.

What worries me is van Gaal's history of wanting to keep young players at the club to develop them. It's an odd deal all around.
He will definitely play the EL which means at least 6-8 starts plus the cup games and if he can get a few starts in the league then that is not bad at all for him
